Look for cook books by the following;
Mrs Beeton - The original cooking author from a very long time ago. She listed the original recipes etc.
Jamie Oliver - Re-invented British cooking
Keith Floyd - The original drinking chef
Delia Smith - Good basic cooking

There used to be a hilarious cooking show called "2 Fat Ladies". They were British & would travel all over England & cook different regional specialties. I'm sure they would have a website. Unfortunately, 1 of them passed away, & they probably thought "1 Fat Lady" would just be depressing.
Cheers

If you are looking for a book, then Mrs Beeton would be a good choice, but you could also check out Gary Rhodes' books. If you are looking for some info online, then you should have a good look at the BBC
