Not looking for general guidelines, but rather a specific family favorite combination that can be used every, or every other, week. Nothing too cheap (no ramen, no mac n cheese) Nothing too expensive (no steak, no roast beef). Also, recipes are okay but not needed. Thank you!

Here are some examples:

Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, and Carrots.
Spaghetti, Marinara Sauce, and Garlic Bread.
Chicken Fried Rice with eggs and vegetables added.
Taco's with Beef or Chicken, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa, and shells or tortillas.
Salad of many vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, chicken, and dressing.

I'm making popcorn balls, & my candy thermometer is MIA. The recipe says to cook to 240 F. What stage is that? (I know how to do the tests for sof-ball, etc.). I just need to know what stage 240 degrees is?

THANK YOU!!!

I am making the recipe for Buckeyes except not coating the PB balls in chocolate. I will leave a toothpick in each ball and let the guests dip their own in the chocolate fondue fountain. My question is, Can I make the PB Balls 3 days in advance and freeze them until the party on Saturday?

My neighbor has great luck with this but she doesn't share recipes. I like the bread to be more moist and a little sticky instead of dry and cakelike. Those of you who love zucchini bread probably know the texture I am looking for.
