10 /12 Macintosh Apples
2 quarts Natural Apple Cider
Small jar of Cinnamon Applesauce
1/2 c. Maple Syrup
Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Ginger to taste
Pour all the applesauce and enough cider into a large crock pot, leaving about three inches from the top of the crock. Stir and set on high.
Peel, core and slice apples into thin slices. This process will take the most time, but after this is done, you're almost finished! Add slices to the crock and cook on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
After the apples are soft, use a slotted spoon and sift the apples into your blender. Add the maple syrup and the spices of your liking. Pulse the mixture into an applesauce-like consistancy, then return the apples to the crock. Reduce the heat to low.
Stir well and serve from the hot crock. I garnish with a spoonful of whipped cream on top and sprinkle a dash of cinnamon over the cream! Looks good and tastes better... very impressive!

I like to cheat a little. I use apple cider and apple juice. Pour half and half into a crock pot then add some cinnamon sticks and cloves. Let it heat on medium for a few hours and it tastes great. Smells the house up nice too.

on no account heard of any recipes using lemon juice and it form of sounds like it would regulate the style and not for the extra effective. while you're making it on the range, pour apple cider (a offered bottle) right into a crockpot or great pan, upload mulling spices and cinnamon sticks and enable it simmer.

My mom just took apple juice already made at the store, put it in a pot, simmered the whole thing with two cinnamon sticks that's all.
