OK, scrambled eggs are beat together in a bowl, then placed on the grill to cook. When I was in the Navy, a few of the cooks told me that there were "country fried eggs" and that these were plain eggs that begin to fry, then are "scrambled" up while on the grill, (with nothing added) with a small amount of the yolk left soft. My dad, who cooked in a diner for a while said that this was a bunch of horsehockey. What do you know? If I asked for this in a restaurant, would anybody know what I wanted?

Í was boiling some water with margarine and milk on an ELECTRIC stove. Suddenly it spilled and my mistake was that I kept cooking on the same burner. A fire started not from the inside of the pot, but from the burner. I tried to put it out with the lid of the pot but the flames kept growing. I was so desperated that I put it out with water.
1.- Is it true that I shouldn´t put it out with water because it was an electric stove?
2.- What should I do if that happens again? I didn´t have time to get the extintor which is at the entrance of the apartment.
3.- Can I use baking soda? How much do I need to buy and have in the cabinet just in case?
4.- Can I also use Coke?

Hello,
Where can I buy pink/ green marzipan in London (other colours as well would be a bonus)? The only packs I manage to find are white or gold in supermarkets. I am trying to make a cake and decorate it.
Does anyone know a website where I could order some?
Thank you!

I don't plan on doing this I'm just curious. I'm sure many newer microwaves wouldn't allow it to work with the door open. I do know that some do cause once I pressed start and had forgotten to close the door but it came on anyway.
