generally, the best way is:
low temperature, long, long, long time...
in the oven, 3-4 hours at 275-300 degrees...
on the BBQ, put ribs into a big pot, cover with water, simmer for about an hour, drain, put on BBQ for about 15 minutes per side (over low heat), apply sauce, serve
hope it helps!

Pork Ribs Marinade(something different)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup bourbon
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 lemon
1 cup beer
Mix together and pour over the ribs. Marinate for 24 hours. Cook the remaining marinade well because of the contamination from the uncooked pork and baste the ribs with it on the grill.

Most important thing to do is to remove the membrane on the back side of pork spareribs. Just get the tip of a knife under it, lift enough that you can grab it with your fingers and pull it off. It will help cut down on grease and you will get more of the smoky flavor from the grill. Just sprinkle w/salt and pepper and a bit of garlic powder (if you like). Put on the grill using the offset type of grilling - coals on one side, meat on the other. NEVER put on BBQ sauce until just before taking ribs off the grill, otherwise the sugars in the sauce will burn before the meat is done cooking.

Put stuff you like on them like barbecue sauce, then but them on a rack over a pan or cookie sheet. Bake them for an hour at 350.
I don't like barbecue sauce so I just put on salt, paprika, garlic powder.
For beef ribs, I spread a little grey poupon mustard on them and then shake crumbs on them.
For any kind of ribs, they always bake for an hour at 350.
I don't have any idea how long to cook them in an outside barbecue.

I made delicious boneless ribs last week. I cooked them until they were completely done. Then I covered them in BBQ sauce and put them on the grill until the sauce was done. The kids loved them.

Pork or beef ribs: stewed in tomato sauce / paste, with potatoes, carrots and large green olives (not pitted). Don't rush it up, use low flame. keep in fridge 3 days before eating. Make sure there's ample sauce. Before eating heat in oven at 300 for 15 minutes.

I like them in the crockpot. I braise them first, then put them in the crockpot with sauce and water to cover, and just let them cook! They are very tender and fall off the bone that way.
