i am baking caramel dumplings but half way through i realised i had no baking soda or self raising flour so i just used plain flour. what will happen?

They will be really heavy. Probably the heaviest things in the universe.

Hi
when discovering l had no baking soda, l would have tried
baking powder with my flour. But l know they will remain flat
just adding the flour by its self. Sorry .

Oh no! Those dumplings are going to turn into pancakes now. They will still taste the same though. Who cares if they didn't rise. Maybe next time.

I imagine they'll be flat.

I did that once and my Dad is one of the top chefs in the UK....

They didn't taste very good at that party i had theat night.....

Yeah but my Dad said it would stay flat.
