I'm looking for some dinner recipies for two people. Something quick I can throw together for dinner, but that doesn't require much time (think easy dinner after a long day of work...). Other than the usual-tacos, spaghetti, hamburgers, etc. Yummy but quick.

So I found this recipe for Boston Markets Macaroni and cheese online.........on copycat.com
http://www.copykat.com/component/option,com_rapidrecipe/page,viewrecipe/recipe_id,1051
It calls for 6 oz of dry macaroni......that would be barely any at all. I am using rotini(spirals) instead because that's what they use at Boston Market.......but do you think maybe they meant 16 ounces?
I looked up the recipe on other websites, and it says the same thing.
I'd like to make a large amount of this stuff, cuz my family loves mac and cheese......what should i do?

Things I know about cooking:

1. Heat cooks things.
2. Red, drippy meat isn't done yet.
3. When the red lights in the oven are shiny, that means it's cooking.
4. When I say I'm a cooking idiot, I mean it.

I'm going to try to cook a steak without burning down my apartment building. What's the number for the fire department again? (Just in case.)

The LAST sentence where it says to cut 1/3 off each side... please read and tell me if you understand what they're saying. :(
If the Marzipan only covers the top of the cake, I don't understand what I'm exposing on the side?

Knead marzipan and 2 drops green coloring in large bowl until color is evenly distributed. Dust work surface with powdered sugar. Roll out marzipan on sugar to 12-inch-diameter circle, sprinkling with powdered sugar as needed to prevent sticking. Spread reserved 1/2 cup buttercream over top of cake. Using rolling pin as aid, drape marzipan over top of cake. Press gently to adhere. Trim marzipan flush with top of cake; reserve trimmings. Brush excess powdered sugar off marzipan. Using long sharp knife, cut 1/3 inch off each side of dessert to expose strawberries

I'm having problems with making polenta to fry. I'm about 30/70% on getting it done successfully. I follow the instructions to the letter, but it always crumbles before I can fry it! Help!

I work at a youth centre and one of my duties is to cook bannock for 12 to 15 people. I looked through the internet but was not satisfied with the results. I would prefer oven baked or fried. So if anybody out there knows I sure will appreciate it...thanks!
