Does your oven have a broiler? (Little drawer under the oven??). I would do the steak in htere and not a toaster oven, but that is just me.
How do you like your steak, medium rare, med (still some pink), med well, well.....determine that.
The below link has step by step instructions, WITH PICS!
Oh, and the FD is 911, but you won't need it!

Unless you actually like broiled steak (I don't) try searing it on the stove or grilling it over an open flame. Let the steak sit out for 20 minutes or so until it warms a bit. To sear it, heat a skillet until it is very hot, then put the steak in and cook it for 4 minutes or so on each side. You can cut it open to see how done it is (I don't know how well you like it). If it is nice and seared on the outside, but you want it more well done, you can put the skillet in the oven as long as it is oven safe (check the bottom of the pan.)
You can also check out cooking websites like foodtv.com or allrecipes.com for more help. Good luck!

4th turn steak over and cook 3 minute
5th serve with baked potatoe sour cream, butter, chivesand black pepper

have some good red wine or unsweet tea and eat
This sould be a medium rare which is the best way to eat a good steak( which will be red to pink in center) I know what i'm talking about i'm a chef for The Gold strike Casino in Tunica remember you have to be hungry to cook good its a pleasure to help you and dont mess up food is a gift from God Himself i love it--but i prefer to gill the steak in a real hot iron skillett but stainless will be ok// just sear it on both sides for about 3 minutes///////

tinfoil is your friend in a toaster over.
Just throw a bunch of spices on it (montreal steak spice..mmmm), wrap it up, and throw it in until it is done as desired.
Not much to it, but keep a fire extinguisher handiy if you are the boil water type :) j/k
