Trust me, everybody can do it. Cooking isn't something inherited within you at the moment of birth. U can do it! Just get all these cooking books and start praticing, start by doing the easy ones first that u think are the most delicious (i suggest appetizers, cocktails/drinks, and simple sweets). Then go a step further and cook urself a slightly harder dish (i suggest by now u should do a main course and a cake - involves baking). Just go step by step and u'll be a great cook! congrats in advance!

Anyone can do the basics, though it might take some experience before you know how long to cook things so they taste good and are not overcooked.
Using a cookbook, especially the ones for beginners, will help avoid the learning curve.
Cooking well with whatever you have on hand is an art or talent, and cooking well enough to serve important guests requires talent and experience. An advanced cookbook helps, especially by someone who takes the time to explain what can go wrong and how to fix it. (The French Chef - Julia Child - is famous for that.)

Cooking is a learning process, not talent. Start with easy recipes and work your way up to more difficult ones. Most important is reading. When I started I read entire cook books from cover to cover, even if I had no intention of making any of the recipes. You can always pick up new ideas and techniques. Read, read and then try them out. I now never follow a recipe but use them as a starting point. A great starting point is a book called "How To Cook Without A Book" by Pam Anderson. Like everything the key to cooking is passion. With it you will be a genius, without it stick to Kraft Dinner.

Basic cooking is something that everyone can (and should) learn to do. Start by taking a VERY simple recipe and following the instructions. The internet is marvellous for finding that sort of information, including very basic instructions (hey! who's to know you were looking at a kids' website?).
The fancy stuff you can go on to if you are keen. Talented cooks can make anything taste and look good - and invent new stuff as well.

No not really just follow the recipe instructions after a few times then you can be creative by adding or subtracting things. In baking talent comes into play such as decorating a cake but in regular cooking anyone can do it.

No, anyone who can read a cookbook and follow directions can cook. But to cook with flair or without a recipe, it does take an inner talent, creativity and intuitive nature to be able to whip up new things.

Everyone can read a recipe. so basically everyone can cook. But there are many people who have a true talent and instinct for food and combinations. The only way to find out is to TRY TRY TRY . And if you're customers begin to CRY CRY CRY then it's time to say BYE BYE BYE

Anyone can cook, but as with most things it takes a lot of practice and loads of imagination. The imagination come in when you wonder what will this and that make my whatever taste like and then you try it, a lot of times it is good but there are times when it doesn't work out and then you need to be able to laugh about it and then try again.

I think anyone can cook as long as they can concentrate enough to put their mind to it! If you're not such a great cook, and you're attemting to make something semi-advanced and you have screaming 3 year old twin girls running around in the kitchen with you, chances are your recipe probably won't turn out. :) However, if you start off with easier recipes, can concentrate fully on what you're doing, and put 100% into it, eventually you'll be an excellent cook!

Everyone can cook but I think that the actual cookbook has to be good. There are many cookbooks out there that dont explain exactly what you have to do and when you are a beginner every detail helps!!
