Pasta, manufactured according to Jewish dietary laws, is kosher and may be used with either (but not both at the same time) meat and dairy products.

There are a number of organizations that oversee that process and allow their symbol to be placed on the package to indicate its acceptance. The oldest and most widely used one is the Orthodox Union. There symbol is the letter 'O' with a smaller 'u' inside. See the sites below.

Any food can be Kosher if it is blessed by a priest.
