I have 2 close friends from college. Friend A lives near me and is very close to me. Friend B is another state and we have drifted apart somewhat, but I still consider her a very close friend. For ease of planning, I asked Friend A to be my MOH and Friend B to be a bridesmaid. Friend B says she understands why I would I would pick Friend A to be my MOH, but has turned down my invitation and refuses to be a bridesmaid. She says her pride is hurt. What do I do? I really want Friend A to be my MOH.

okay i have been with my bf for 4yrs and we are talking about marriage and went engagement ring shopping . he is a really great guy to me and treats me like a princess. BUT One huge problem is his parents. Curently he works out of state and is home every other weekend, but they want to make him do everything for them. they also try to control his life and what he does. So, our time together is limited. I understand he has to help parents but isnt there a limit?? Anyways i ask him if things are going to change when we get married and i am going to always come first and he said Things have to change right? i was like but will they and he said he didnt know. I mean we will be living in another state when we get married and wont come home often. but should i just deal with things or what?? i mean will things really change when we get married or stay the same or get worse?? i know i should talk to him but would like any advice anyone you guys could give me

Just want some opinions.....

My ex husband and I realized one day that we were better friends than husband and wife. It wasn't exactly that simple but ultimately that is what it has come to. He and I have a very good and close relationship. He and I were married for eight years. He was more of a father to my son than his own real father. Son hated him as a teenager because he tried to father him. Now 21 and grown seems to have a great respect for him. My 13 year old daughter has always loved him.

Ex and I have an 8 year old daughter that will be in the wedding. My parents, My sister-in-law and brother(who are divorced from each other), my aunt and several family members have received invitaions. My aunt sent her repsponse card with my two children listed as coming. She was called by the ex and said it would be best if the kids didn't come. I talked to him about this and this was the wishes of his new bride to be. These kids love him. Why would she have a problem?

Hey everyone....here's a question for all you travel savvy people. My wedding is in April 2008. I am deathly afraid of boats and the ocean, and my future husband refuses to get on an airplane. We'd like to get away from Michigan. Please help. Looking at a 2000. budget.

Thanks again in advance.

My wedding is coming up in a few more weeks my husband doesnt want kids to go to our reception only kids from our family and anyone kids from anyone that's going to participate in our wedding. I feel bad telling my friends that there are no kids alowed at the reception especially since I have a two year old daughter myself. Do you agree with my husband? How would you tell people in a nice way that there are no kids allowed?

I am getting married in two weeks, in an evening civil ceremony. My fiance and I would like to have some sort of union ceremony included during our wedding, but don't like the traditional candlelighting or the newer 'sand' ceremonies because they are done so often! Any ideas?

My boyfriend just proposed to me and we are starting to think about places to have the ceremony. I would like to get married in the Catholic Church. This is okay with him but he is a Southern Baptist. Does anyone know if the Catholic Church will allow someone who isn't Catholic to get married there? He'd rather not convert. I've just starting planning so I will ask my Church but I'd like opinions first. Thank you so much.

had known eachother for over a year and a half,(basically dating but not offically)
and had been dating seriously for 7 or so months.
assume you were fairly conservative, however could honestly see that the two were In Love with eachother.
would you solely look at the time dating or how they obviously felt about eachother.

would you look at the fact that they were both mature adults capable of making their own decision and asking for their blessing due to how they felt about family and respect.

what could be done to up the chances when the time to ask comes.

Is anyone anyone having a solo guitarist for their ceremony?
I'm looking for suggestions on what to have him play.
This is what I'm thinking:
Bridal party walk to...Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire
Myself....Bridal March
Exiting to....Wedding March
Any other suggestions?

I am going to a wedding very soon. I don't really have a clue about weddings besides attending my brother's.

My girlfriend won't be joining me.

So, just like to get some ideas of the DO's and DON'Ts. Anyone?

I want to marry my BF, and he the same, we have talk about next year even, but I know he can't come up with the funds for the ring I want right now. Maybe in a few months, but Weddings book up venues fast around here, and a year is best to plan!!!

Would you still get engaged, and pick out a ring later, or do you really need the ring???

I have been with my fiance for 5 years next spring. We are already engaged and have discussed marriage, kids, etc. We want to spend the rest of our lives together and the only reason we haven't married so far is money (or lack of it), but now I have just started a much better paid job. I would love for us to get married on our 5 year anniversary but want it to be a surprise. What do you think?
We planned a wedding before (or rather I did) but it didn't come off due to various financial difficulties, and he was quite happy for me to decide on everything and i have a good understanding of what he wants the day to be like, so i dont think he's be upset at missing out on the planning side of it.
But do you think its a bit weird or romantic?
Should i go for it?

The reception is going to be at facility that holds 100 people for a seated, catered meal (which we are having.)

When we counted the number of people who we are 95% sure will show & who have children we came up w/27 children under the age of 12 =(

So, the dilemas are:
1) Obviously, inviting all of the kids will take up more than 25% of our guest list. Besides w/10 people in the bridal party ~ we would only be able to invite 63 family/friends & we want to invite a few more than that.

2) We are having this catered ~ if kids are inlcluded in the final guest count, that is way too much $$

Can we inlude kids on the invites to close family members, while sending other invites that have the names of the adults only ~ not their kids?

Our close relatives will probably be pissed if we don't invite their kids. However, NONE of these kids are a part of our daily lives ~ we only see them at occasional holidays, cookouts, etc, but we don't want to offend anyone
