OK by unconventional I mean the lady asking her man. Neither of us are conventional or into conformity, the problem is I'm scared! I would like to get some suggestions from both men and women on how to make this a special day!

I'm lookin' for a jewelery site where they have 1/2 sizes, too. I'm looking specifically for engagement and wedding rings sets.

my ffmil insists that we serve beer in our weeding reception but I think it's not neccessary to have beer since we are already serving champane, wine, and liquor. But the in laws keep on telling me if people don't want to drink those three kinds of alchohol at least they can have beer. I think there's more than enough alchohol served in the reception, if the guests don't like the ones we have, they can just drink soda, plus I think beer just simple don't fit into a wedding reception. (beer is perfect for watching a game, but wedding reception? i don't think it's a good idea) Should i listen to them and just gave up on the whole issue, or should i tell them no?

I was just wondering if anyone has been quoted for calla lillies and pink peonies for their wedding...especially if you're getting married in late may.

I just gave a florist my flower ideas and she has to get back with me but I'm wanting to know some prices to compare.

She already warned me that pink peonies are expensive.

Please help!

On my wedding day, my father in law asked my mom why my first marriage didn't work out. My mom figures he is wondering because I am "such a nice person and why wouldn't my marriage work out". My husband already explained to him months ago my ex was a greedy scam artist. Isn't that enough???

One of my groomsmens has informed me that due to unpredictable issues related to his job he may or may not be able to attend the rehersal. Thus, he said that he understands if his role is changed to that of friend of the family.

Now, I know that historically all particapants in the wedding are expected to show, but if he has to work I understand. Is it important that he absolutely has to be at the rehersal? At the end of the day, he probably can just follow the other groomsmen and do what they are doing. On the other hand, I also don't want this to cause problems in the ceremony.

Ok, so I am getting married in August! And my best friend was supposed to be my matron of honor, but my sister said that if she wasn't it, she wouldn't be in my wedding! So my best friend said, let her do it! So my sister is supposed to be my matron but she was the last to order her dress and it wasn't until 3 minutes before the deadline! Also, she just called in a random size, she wouldn't go get fitted! She only works 3 days a week, she had the time! And then she told me I have to pick up the dress for her! Also, she said she was trying to plan a party but the woman wouldn't get back to her so I called the woman and she said it was my sister who wouldn't call her back! And my sister thinks i should use her son over my own for the ring boy! I want my son to do it! Why is she acting like this and should I just have my best friend who is taking me out be the matron again? Oh and my mom had to pay for her dress because she wasn't going to! She has 2 kids and is such a child! What do I do

for our wedding i was the first dance to be romantic but sexy. not just a slow dance. i want to do either the tango, salsa, foxtrot, paso doble or any others of that kind. Whats the difference in those dances? which one is the most romantic and sexy? Do you think that a dance studio would teach us an exact dance I loved on dancing with the stars?

thanks!

I am getting married in a little over one month and I had almost everything finished and ready to go. Yesterday, I picked up my dress from the dry cleaners and it was ruined. (I had it dry cleaned since from trying it on over the last couple months I had a couple spots on it.) They are refusing to cover my dress, so regardless I need to get a new one fast. I am stuck between these three. Which one do you like best?

Thank for your input!

Ok, I married a guy who has two brothers. Both are in relationships and both were the best men at our wedding a few months ago. One of them and his girlfriend got a a very nice and expensive wedding gift. The other one and his girlfriend got us NOTHING. Now the one who got us the gift is getting married in a few months. The one who got us nothing asked the other day what we are getting the other brother for a wedding gift because he wanted to get them something nice too.
This really made me mad. I wanted to say something to him about it but my husband told me not too. The other thing is, two days after out wedding they bought a themselves a new tv that cost 600 bucks, then got themselves a new entertainment center a week later. We still have not received a gift. When his girlfriend asked if I liked our gift I said " what gift," she said "well we have up to a year to get you something." Would you be mad? How can I let it go or should I say something.

I am making my own bouquets for my wedding, so I am going with the very easy-to-make dome shape. Here's an example: http://www.theknot.com/ch_article.html?Object=A30610114159 The problem is this type takes A LOT of roses, which equals a lot of money. What would be a nice greenery that I could use that would be easy to use and make the bouquet less expensive?

I am getting married in October and my future sister in law, whom is a bridesmaid in my wedding, wants to bring her friend and husband to the wedding to watch their almost 2yr old son. My fiance and I don't even know these people she wants to bring. I just don't understand why her son can't sit with a family member during the ceremony??!?!?!?! The venue we booked is priced on 100 people not 102 or more. We cut our guest list as it is to stay at the 100 mark. What should I do? Stand my ground and say nope they can't come or deal with it and have these strangers there to have a "free" weekend on us?

My husband and I have a group of friends, some very close and others not as close, but still we see each other at least 8 or 9 times a year for dinner, parties, etc. One of the couples' daughters is getting married and we were the only ones of the group that were not invited. Frankly, I'm hurt, especially since I invited them to my son's wedding last year and they did come. I am not that close to them, but I felt they would feel left out if I didn't include them. Should I be hurt? I was told by another group member that the father's side of the family is very large, so they had to trim the list. Still, I feel they should have invited us. The next time we get together as a group, it's going to be quite awkward, especially if the subject of the wedding comes up. What would you do?
