Within the last few years, my cousins and some friends have taken the bold step and got married. It is at these weddings that speculation/ interest has risen in my friend and i, and we are constantly asked when it will be 'our turn' and often it's by the same people!! It is beginning to get on our nerves...We have given tactful responses, is it now time to be rude?!!

It's not an expensive ring by any means. Not that I know the EXACT price or anything, but I have a fair idea. It's not considered an engagement ring by the store that sold it, it's more like the "promise ring" type of thing...very dainty and simple (and way more suited to my styles, before anybody starts calling my fiance cheap). I haven't talked to our insurance guy yet about how much it would cost to insure it, but I'm thinking it's probably unnecessary....

How expensive does YOUR jewelry have to be before you decide to insure it?

Hi all. My friend is getting married on October 14th of this year. My boyfriend and I are good friends with both the bride and groom. I am one of her bridesmaids and I was wondering, at the reception will I sit with the bridal party or can I sit next to him. We don't really know anyone else going to the wedding so if I'm with them he'll be alone. Do you think they'll let me sit next to him or him with us? I don't know how formal the wedding is but they're young and I know they don't have a big budget so prob not that formal. What do you guys think? Anyone ever been in the same situation?

Im getting married in 5wks time. Last night me and me husband to be went out. After a while i decided to go home as i had 3 kids at home and thought i'd betta go as 1 of us had to be in a fit state to look after the kids. My 2yr old still gets up in the night to get into bed with us and a 8mth that still wakes up for a feed. My partner on the other hand stays out getting pist and makes a tit of himself while out. This however results in him getting punched by a landlord of the local pub and also results in a bloke that is supposed to be doing entertainment for our wedding to cancel our arrangments.
This landlord owns 2 pubs that we go into and this bloke doing our entertainment is running one of these pubs and feels now that he cant do it all because my other half did what he did last night.
I am seriously pist off with it all. Am i right to even feel this way? or am i over reacting? Bearing in mind my wedding is only 5wks away and im now left with finding other entertainment?

My fiance proposed in February but it was very unexpected! We were in between kisses and he was saying he loved me and wanted to be with me forever, then asked "will you be my wife?" and I didn't even hesitate a split second and said YES!!
I know it's not the traditional on one knee proposal but OMG I was so happy after he asked! I told my mom and she's very excited for the both of us, however, she keeps asking me if he's going to get me a ring... I told him and her that I didn't want a ring. I know he'll probably get one anyway lol which I will love and he did give me a bracelet that I wear every single day that belonged to his father. If he gets me a ring and gets on his knee then I'll have two wonderful proposals from him to remember but it's still not necessary to me. My mother on the other hand looks at me like I have 3 heads because I don't need an engagement ring I just want us to have wedding rings when we exchange vows.

Our centerpieces will be a model ship. We would like the guests to take them when they leave, if they so choose. Of course, there is only one ship per table, and there are 10 people at each table. Any ideas on a fun way to give these out? BTW- giving them to the children may not be an option, since there will only be about 4 kids at the wedding, and there will be about 13 ships to give out.

We have no date set, yet. We've been engaged for almost a year. We are going to start planning soon and are wondering what are some unique ideas for an outdoor wedding? It will most likely be at a local park that has many pavilions, stone fire places, cabins, lots of woods and it is on a river. The wedding and reception would be at the same place. Any ideas to make it wonderful and unique??

We are trying to choose our wedding and reception location. Originally we were going to marry at my fiance's family's church (my fiance and I are not religious and were doing it out of respect to his mother- who is) She has made it clear that she is touched we are considering her church, but understands that our beliefs differ from hers and won't be offended if we don't use the church.

Sooooo....we are considering having the ceremony and reception at the same site- the issue is- there isn't enough room to have seperate sites (seating for the ceremony seperate from tables and chairs for reception)

I would appreciate suggestions on how to do this! Would being seated at a table during the ceremony be too odd?

Our DJ asked us to come up with a song to play while introducing the best man. The DJ said that the song goes over the best when it is funny and pokes fun at the best man. Some ideas were: "I'm just a gigolo", and "I'm too sexy". Any other ideas out there besides these?

I am going to my 18 year old cousins engagement party today. She and her fiancee are the same age. Neither of them have jobs and they are both just starting college! Their 'plan' is to get married in a year. His family is encouraging this marriage (probably because she is a great catch and he well, not so much) and her family (myself included) is against it. I know she loves him but he is the most immature inconsiderate socially constipated male that I have ever known! Did I mention he was homeschooled and doesn't have any manners or social skills??? Ahhhhh I want to be supportive but come on!
