Far as I know your bridesmaids are supposed to see your dress. It's only the groom who is NOT supposed to see it before the wedding day when you come down the aisle.

Yes the bridesmaids usually see the dress; that way you can get an opinion. They also won't tell the groom because that is part of the duty as I have heard. You should take your mom, his mom(optional but if you are getting mother of the couple dresses then you might want to take them),bridesmaids, flowergirl(s), and any female ushers, or any Jr. Bridesmaids.

The groom isn't suppose to see it. I heard it brings bad luck.

By the way Congratulations

Most brides take their bridesmaids with them to try on dresses and get their opinions too. If you want to surprise them, I'd hold it back and get the big wow when they see you the first time all made up on the big day. But most women share that time with the bridesmaids. It's part of the fun girlieness of the wedding!

I only took one bridesmaid to shop for my dress-the others were out of town, and all of them snuck a peek at my dress before I put it on. I thought this was so nosey, but realized that dresses look different on the hanger, and so they really didn´t get to see the real thing.

Don´t worry if you show them the dress...just make sure your future husband doesn´t see it-this is the important part.

You should let them see it. They'll want to anyway, and the superstition is not to let the groom see it, not the bridesmaids. All my bridesmaids have seen my dress (well pictures, I haven't been able to show the real deal yet) and other friends as well. It's not a big deal.

Yes they can see it. My best friend and bridesmaid went with me to pick out my dress. She went with me to get it altered and of course was there the day I got ready for the big day. The groom is not allowed to see the dress anytime and can't see it or you the day of the wedding till you walk down that aisle.

I was a bridesmaid and I did see the brides dress before the wedding. It doesn't make a difference.

Its perfectly fine for the bridesmaids to see you in your dress. My sister and I are bridesmaids to our older sister who is getting married in a couple months. We went with her (and my mom too) to Davids Bridal to help her pick out her dress. Its our job to help her get into her dress on the big day, and make sure she looks perfect.
You should show your bridesmaids your dress so they know if they need to bustle the back of it.

The norm is that bridesmaids usually are the ones to help you choose it but since you did already, then its ok. The groom is not supposed to see it

It is usual for the bridesmaids to see it. I've never been a bridesmaid and didn't see the dress beforehand.
