My best friend ordered hers from ebay. The shipping is outrageous (b/c its a heavy item and it really does cost them that much). I believe her dress itself was $30-50 and the shipping was $120.
It was GORGEOUS. She didn't order it last minute of course--and if you order it at the last minute yes it is going to get there right before your wedding. It does take approximately 2-3 weeks to ship something China to US. They usually put on there to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Advice-go to a professional to get your measurements. They are very exact and get your measurements for nearly every part of your body. If you are wrong and just guess then of course the dress isn't going to fit! They measure your arms, shoulder to bust, shoulders to waist, waist to floor, and the measurements around your arms! By the time you've sent them all those measurements it's going to fit. It was a perfect dress and she loved it. It was beautiful and all of her pictures turned out perfect.
I would do it if cost is important to you. But give yourself plenty of time just in case something goes wrong. Don't wait to buy your dress last minute from anywhere.

try weddingo.net. Shipping is included. Prices run about $159 to $179 for copies of the best designer dresses on the market. Take a look. Just make sure you order way before your wedding, so just in case of a problem, you can order here in the U.S. and have enough time. You should follow their directions in measuring yourself very carefully. But you can really save alot of money. YOu pay with Paypal or credit card. Delivery I believe is within 8 weeks.

I have a friend of mine that got her dress from china awhile back. The dress showed up 1 week before her wedding and was not the dress she ordered or did it fit. the shipping was very high. We had to go and buy a dress 3 days before her wedding.

I ordered a Kimono once from China.
The shipping was outrageous, and the sizing was wrong.
When my husband went to Okinawa, he got me the right size and it was way cheaper for him to ship it because Chinese business overcharge on shipping.
Not all of the Chinese sellers on ebay do though. Some of the sellers from Hong Kong offer reasonable shipping and quick turnaround time, so just do your research by checking their feedback comments.
I ship worldwide so depending on how heavy the dress is, I've shipped a summer dress to China and it was around 16.00.
Good luck.

I'd recommend purchasing your dress from the store. If you get the dress from ebay and it doesn't look like you thought, you'd be out the money. Also if you go to the store, you'll be able to try it on and get any alterations that may be needed.
