Here is what the Arkansas state law says:
Female: 16--younger parties may obtain license in case of pregnancy or birth of child. Younger parties may marry with parental consent and/or permission of judge
So in the event of pregnancy you may be able to obtain a license but you may still need your parents permission. I also believe that if you get married he can not be charged with statutory rape, per state law.
I would suggest you really think about this first. Getting married just because your pregnant is never a good idea whatever your age. The fact that you are so young is even more reason. Go to school, get a good job then think about marriage.
I hope you have a lot of family support and that your boyfriend will be there for you, Good luck!

I would think about it first. Where there is a will there is always a way. I was 14 and got married cause I was going to have his baby, it lasted 10 years. You are both young and fully don't know what you want in life nor do you know what life doors can open yet. Learn more before you jump into it. Just cause you are going to have a baby does not mean that you have to get married right away. Life always has a road to travel down. I can't say if he is going to get into trouble or not there are many laws and so many loop holes to get around them. But always hold your head up high and do what is right for you and the baby.

Honey, you need your parents help. Go to the AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This is going to be difficult for you no matter what decisions are made. I do know a couple just like you who married at 15 and are still happy and together 35 years and 6 kids later. However, they had the support of both their families. Seek all the help you can get. God bless you.

You cannot marry without a court order if you are under the age of 16.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 18, you must have a legal guardian present with you at the time of the application for marriage license.
Be aware that because he got you pregnant, he could be held legally liable for statutory rape as you were 14 and he was a legal adult at the time of the sexual encounter, regardless of whether you were consenting or not.

You can't get married unless your parents consent. You're "almost 15" which means you ARE 14. You need to be 18 to get married without your parent's permission. By the way, the father of the baby can still go to jail for statutory rape even if you consented and even if no one presses charges. A cop just needs to find out and act.

No. You will have to wait until you are 16 and get your parent's permission. If they won't give it to you, you're gonna have to wait until 18. If you are still together by then.
Yes he can get into trouble. How much depends on the judge and can be anything from a hefty fine to jail time. He will definately have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life if he is found guilty (a no brainer since you are knocked up). Your parents can press charges or the DA can decide to do it on their own if they find out.
I hope they are cool with it and don't decide they would rather prosecute your boyfriend for statuory rape instead......next time use some freaking birth control.

i dont know the laws in Arkansas but in Oklahoma if your underage you have to have a parents consent, good luck on that. and he would be in trouble for having sex with you. your best choice would be to put that child in adoption to a loving couple that did the right thing and that can love and support this baby in more ways than you could ever imagine. all i can say is i feel sorry for the baby. shame shame shame. i pray you do the right thing. god bless you.sorry for sounding like a b*tch.

How do your parents feel about him?
He could be charged with statutory rape if your parents feel like it.
You'll need parents permission to get married before age 18.
So either seek your parents permission (if they like him) or have a LONG engagement until you are 18 to get married.

The state doesn't need your parents to press charges against your b/f. First of all he isn't your b/f. You are 14 years old, he is 18. That means he had sex, whether consensual or not with a child. I'm sorry but I would look into the legalities with your local police dept. immediately. And your parent are ok with this? OMG

At that point yes he could get in trouble and prob will. That statutory rape even if you agreed and no you can't get married until you're 16 with parent consent. But hun wait. Seriously you don't want to move away from your parents and such. They'll help you more than he could as a husband. I'm sorry you're in this situation.
