Had the same shoes for all the bridesmaids, but the boutique ordered the wrong color dresses so had to pick a different dress from Davids Bridal and now I don't think that the shoes will go with the new dresses, so 3 of my bridesmaids and I went to LOOK at different shoes and they all decided that since they didn't have to pay for their dress they could spend more on shoes and they found some that were $70! But now the problem is that two of my BM's can't afford the new shoes, well one of them can't and the other is like me and will not spend that much on a pair of shoes that she'll only wear once. I don't expect her to fork out that much for shoes, but should the shoes all match or can they look similar in color and style? I don't want it to look odd in the pictures though. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for all answers! : )

no one is begging for money every wedding i have gone to has had it, and its only 1 dollar, and it is the bride and grooms wedding if you dont like how the wedding is going then just leave, i was online getting tips for my wedding and i just got sick of everyone stating what is right and wrong, it is the bride and groom's day they can do what ever they want unless you are planning a traditonal wedding, im sure ill get a lot of negative comments on this subject, also most of the people that are there should be there to help celebrate the most important day of your life, not to get free food and booze and to judge what is tacky in your jugmental mind.

My really good friend of 10 years is getting married and she has a matron of honor and 2 maids of honor. I am one of those maids. I wasn't offended at first but lately I've been thinking about it and I feel like maybe it was an insult to my friendship. What are your ideas?

I have been dating my girlfriend for 2+ years now and its getting around that time to buy the engagment ring. Both my family and her family are "eagerly" waiting for me to pop the question, etc. The thing is that I simply dont have the funding yet. I want to buy a $2500-3000 piece of Jewlery and so far I have saved about $800 of it. I dont want to have to goto my parents to "borrow" the money just to buy the ring faster. Any suggestions. etc.? Also my gross income is around $25K a year. (am I spending too much on the ring...honestly?)

My best friend of 14 years is getting married next weekend and I"m struggling to write a speech. I want it to flow well and have a lot of humor, but can't seem to come up w/ anything. I'm worried that a lot of the humor I can provide deals mostly w/ private jokes between me and her...obviously the audience won't get it. I've read a ton of tips, I really need to find sample text that I can use to pack a humorous punch to my speech. Most websites out there want you to pay them to write a speech for you.....how can they write about someone they dont even know??? Please give me some sample advice. Thanks!

My bf and I are in a serious relationship & have been dating for 2 years in September [so currently 22 months]. I'm 20, he's 21, both in college graduating in 1 1/2 yrs. He has a job a few hours away this summer, and I visited him last weekend.

My mom, bf & I went shopping, & he kept saying something about a certain jewelry store. Along the lines of, "I'm surprised you don't want to go into THAT store."

So we do & he goes straight to the engagement rings. He asks what I like & then asks the sales associate what the prices are on a couple different rings. [in front of my mother mind you]

Long after the shopping that same day, he says, "This question has been in my head all day, i don't know.. would you like a bigger diamond with more color or a smaller diamond with less color??"

He sometimes talks in terms of the future - "if we get married..," or "if we have kids.." [He knows I'm interested in marrying him]

What do you think? [I'm not sure if he's saving $ for a ring]

For those of you that say virgins should wear white only and color dresses are for non-virgins. Is this because of your religious beliefs? what is your religion?

We meet at a hotel to get ready. Then a limo comes to pick us us up to get pics and bring to church and reception. I notice it at 1000 at night and I have to start work at 7 am. So I ask the bride how am I supposed to get to the hotel to get my car to go home. She says idk. I said you brought me here. She said catch a cab down the street. I said you did not tell me to bring money. She says idk and walked away. I was pissed. Is she a ***** or what?

Okay, I asked a similar question in 'Pregnancy' but I'm going to ask it here too. I really want to get pregnant My sister is getting married next June. I don't want to rain on her parade or steal her shine. I know that people can get a little bit baby crazy when they see pregnant people. If I were to concieve and have the baby in August [I'd hold off so I could make the wedding and all of the other little things...] I'd be about 7 months pregnant at the wedding.

How do you feel about this? Would it upset you? I would really like very honest answers--I won't complain if they aren't what I want to hear. Thank you!

I was thinking about having an outdoor wedding because I always thought it would be nice but every outdoor wedding I went to was miserable because it was hot and you get feasted on by mosquitoes. But in a way I still want one, but there is no way to know what the weather will be like. I'm gettnig married next year in July and I live in Georgia so do you think a outdoor wedding is a good idea or no?

I am getting married in 3 months and desperate to find bridesmaid dresses that can deliver immediately. And my girls are spread accross the country and no time for the standard 12-16wk delivery + fitting.

Our colors are chocolate brown and sage green. Do you think this dress is too summery for an evening October wedding?

I was thinking of pairing the dress with brown sheer shalls, brown necklace and brown shoes. Thoughts?

My fiance took on myself and my 2 children from a previous relationship. They call him and dad and that is all that matters, but we'd like to include them in our readings in our upcoming wedding, to pronounce us as a family. We were thinking of giving them a necklace each too.

I was invited to a bridesmaid in this destination wedding back in February of 2007. The wedding is set at the beach in New Jersey, and we live three hours from the destination location. I was the "matchmaker" of this couple, the groom is my cousin and the bride to be is a friend. I helped the bride to be, look at dresses for herself and other bridesmaids. I recommended and offered alot of great information to the bride in planning her wedding. The bridesmaids got measured and fitted for our dresses, and the dresses came in and I saw the dress for the first time last week. I get a phone call from the groom to tell me I am NO longer in the wedding party but is invited to a "guest" only. I said, why? They told me, I brought on too much stress and comotion in their lives before the big day. The bride and groom also recently bought their first house and is going through some stressful weekends to fix up their house before the big day as well. Should I still go to the wedding?

We are thinking about a moissanite ring for the engagement... I just want to know what other people have experienced with moissanite... I have heard good and bad... in particular that the stone could be grayish or yellow in daylight... is this true and if so does it look horrible... This would be a great alternative for us because we are on a limited budget. There are some really nice styles from Bella Jewelry Co.

My fiance and i had a huge fight last night. And he started to talk about the wedding and how expensive its going to be which its only 10,000 which this day in age isnt that much. I think we are doing pretty good. right? But then he does have some debt he is in . Ive been trying to help him save money so he could pay it off . Hasnt touch any of them. THen he brought up his past saying that he screwed up and all of his friends are well off. And when he said that it made me feel like i wasnt a positive in his life. That really hurt my feelings. I told him today that if he wants to pospone the wedding and buy the things his wants and pay off his debt i would be fine with that. NOW his saying NO he wants to get married. What do i do . Now I am thinking twice about getting married. WHat do i do Help.

Hello ladies! I'm getting married in 1 month and 24 days at 7pm...I just wanted some opinions on send off items (ie bubbles)...It will be dark when we leave, so I want them to be able to be seen...Any ideas besides bubbles, rice, butterflies, or sparklers? BTW, I was going to do sparklers but with the many children that will be there, I chose to not put everyone at risk...Thanks for all your answer in advance!! -Emi
