We were sitting in an all-night diner. He named a date about a year and a half away and said it was on a sunday. I asked him why that was important. That's when he said he thought maybe we could get married that day.

He'd taken into consideration the fact that I wanted an outdoor wedding, my lucky number, and the amount of time it would take me to make the lace for my wedding gown. Now that's romantic!

I have no problem with down on one knee, but I wouldn't trade his proposal to me for all the tea in China.

My husband didn't get down on one knee when he proposed... but I wouldn't have thought it was crap if he did. We were at a beach of a lake we both went to -- it had been raining and the ground was a little muddy. He wrote the proposal in the sand

Not me, that's a fairytale thing. I'd been living with my man for 14 years. One day out of the blue he said, "we should get married, so you'll have health insurance". How romantic is that? Yes, we did get married. We did the drive-thur wedding at one of the chapels on the Las Vegas strip. Appropriately across the street from a strip club. When the Minister was done with the service, we got a goodie bag it had condoms in it and some other interesting things.

It's not really crap, but I wasn't proposed to that way. My husband proposed to me at a four way stop! It was perfect in it's one way!

I got proposed to at the breakfast table-he was in his underwear, and I had on a college t-shirt. I was sitting on his lap, and he asked, while handing me a ring, "will you be my wife." Needless to say, I told him maybe, and when he got down on one knee in the full moonlight by Lake Michigan, then I said yes to his question.

My finacee never got down on one knee when he proposed. We had been dating for 5 years and he wanted to surprize me. He went and picked up my little brother and sister and brought them with him (we were supposed to be going out to celebrate our anniversary). My sister a few months before gave me a great piece of advice when I was picking on her that I was never going to get married because Bruce was never going to ask (she was five at the time mind you and has been dying to be in my wedding since my sister's wedding two years earlier). Her advice: "when the time is right, it will happen, I know it will." He thought it would be cute to involve her and my brother because they kept asking when we were getting married so they could be in our wedding. So the plan was for my sister to say "sissy, do you remember the advice I gave you before when I was in Florida...well, the time is right." And my brother was supposed to say "Sissy, will you marry Bruce" and give me the ring. I accidentally messed it up because I saw the kids and figured I would surprize them by opening the door before they knocked. My little brother got excited and blurted out his part before she could say hers. I still think it was a perfect proposal.
