I think it is a lovely dress, it also depends on where your reception will be at? Is it in a place like San Diego, you are OK because we are blessed with the beautiful weather year round, but if you know that in October it's freezing cold in your area, you might want to stick to a longer dress.
Another thing is if your reception will be outdoors or indoors? If it's indoors, just go with that dress, once you are inside your bridesmaids will be OK.
The shall is a really good alternative, that's what I am doing.
Good luck and congratulations!!

1. Are you sure you want to go for dresses as short as that one?
2. Are you sure that the style will suit all your bridesmaids? -- that style is very troublesome for any girl that doesn't have reasonably large breasts. If even one of the bridesmaids is a bit flat, then think about getting something that doesn't need breasts to keep it up.
Color is OK and very little that's suitable for wedding wear can be described as warm. If you're in the least worried get shawls that will keep the girls warmer outwith the ceremony.

I think you should give them some kind of wrap or sweater to wear during the reception, but really, you can make almost anything work. My biggest concern would be how it looks with your dress. If your dress has long sleeves or something -- then a strapless dress might be strange and "summery." Otherwise, I say go for it -- it's a very nice dress.

If this is a dress you really like and think will look nice in YOUR wedding, go for it! They don't really make many long-sleeved dresses for weddings, and a lot of ppl choose to have dresses with no sleeves for weddings no matter what the season- I'm sure they'll have a sweater or jacket they'll bring, and being inside most of the time, I'm sure they will feel comfortable. So if you want this dress, go for it :)

I dont think that dress looks summery at all, I think it will be perfect for an Oct wedding. No need for the shawl and I would shy away from brown shoes, that may not be the best color match. I'd stick with the shoe they have shown, but maybe in a closed toe slingback.

I looked at the dress and shoes and think your colors and that particular dress style look stunning! I don't think the dress is at all "too summery" (remember, you are having chocolate brown and sage green...that dress in sage green was lovely!). I wish you luck in your upcoming nuptials! You're going to look wonderful and so are the people in your wedding party!

The sage dress is beautiful. You might want to make the shawls non-sheer, though, in case the girls get cold. The outfit will be great, though! Very nice for October.

I love the dress. Where are you getting married? The weather will factor part way into it, if you plan of being outside for pictures for an extended amount of time you may want to consider a different dress. It really matters on if you are in Minnesota or Florida. Good Luck!

I like it too, I would only suggest maybe a longer skirt to make it a bit more formal. I think it's a bit semi formal for an evening wedding. Also a longer skirt will keep the girls warmer. Love the colors!
Good luck!

Honestly I think the dress is for summer and if you are having a night time wedding the dress should be full length. I like the idea of the shawls, I like this Style # 203329, without the sash. It also comes with a shall. Congratulations on your wedding.
