Well for MY sister's wedding, which was recently, they cleared the floor ONLY for my dad and my sister. So it was basically only my sister and my dad dancing together and everyone watching. I'm pretty sure you can tell the DJ you've hired or whoever is organizing the songs and everything that you want to dance with your daughter alone, like to clear the dancefloor and just the two of you dancing together.

No he should dance with his mother to a different song.
Why is Butterfly Kisses special? Just asking because it seems over used for father/daughter dances.

It doesn't matter. You can have the dances worked out however the groom and bride want. Normally, though, the father daughter dance is just them
P.S. Butterfly Kisses rox!!!

All depends on how the band or dj does it. I've seen it done all different ways...some with father & bride starting the dance, then the groom and his mother come to the dance floor half way through. You can always request that the dance be just you and her. There is nothing wrong with that.

No. The bride and dad dance alone to a chosen song (I chose the old song Daddy's little girl) I THINK I can't remember but I think the groom and mom dance after the bride and groom dance....not too sure.

No, it's a father/daughter dance! At my wedding we did a special song after the father/daughter dance for the groom and his mother to dance to.

Usually the tradition is that the groom dances with his mother, but in same cases he does dance with the brides mother too. Actually it is up to your daughter and her fiance. Perhaps you could discuss it with them and his parents. Whatever you all decide is proper to do.
