The bridal crown is an age-old
tradition in Sweden. Worn directly on the head or over the veil, a
simple crown can be made from ribbon or for a more authentic Swedish
feel, myrtle leaves.

It used to be a crown (the church crown), or myrtle, just like Rachel above says; and a veil. Some still do wear it, but these days most brides don't wear anything at all on the head except maybe some flowers, or sometimes a diadem. A special, more elegant hairdo is common, though.
By the way, Jessica above is also right, although someone gave her thumbs down. That is how it used to be.

By tradition, only virgin brides were allowed to wear a bridal crown, which most places belonged to the church - kind of gave the pastor control of the matter. The churches still have them, but I don't know how well the tradition is upheld.
