Yes get her a gift....its not required, but hey you will score some points too lol. Get her something nice for their house, or even a gift cert. to a nice restaraunt or to a home place (Lowes, Bed Bath & Beyond...ect) That way she can pick out what she wants/needs
OR If you know she is registered somewhere, then go look on her registry and get her something.

For the wedding itself? Give her some money. If you're not comfortable with that, give a gift card to someplace they'd use. (i.e. if they own a home - Lowes, if they don't - Linens & Things or Bed Bath and whole lotta crap. =) Or to a restaurant.)
It was only when I attended a wedding in North Carolina that I saw actual gifts at the reception. (I thought they were decorations!) It must be a New York thing, but we give envelopes with either cash or a check in 'em.

You can get something off the registry or find something nice, I've always been a fan of gifts that has to do with the wedding day (a picture frame/invitation holder). Things Remembered has a wedding certificate holder that can be engraved with their names and wedding date.

Absolutely, you should do something. Perhaps dinner for two at their fav restaurant. If money is tight, how about presenting them with a gift certificate for a special dinner at your place.

You should get her something. Maybe something small on her registry or a gift certificate with a card. I dont think you need to get her anything HUGE, but something.
