Is anyone anyone having a solo guitarist for their ceremony?
I'm looking for suggestions on what to have him play.
This is what I'm thinking:
Bridal party walk to...Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire
Myself....Bridal March
Exiting to....Wedding March
Any other suggestions?

I already asked the musician and he didn't give me much for options. He's basically leaving it up to me.

Hey Miss! I'm also having a guitarist for the ceremony, along with a pianist though. They both sing as well. I met with them last week to go over all the songs, they had lots of ideas. Most are pretty catholic centred songs though, being that the ceremony is in the church. I can't remember now if yours is in a church or not. I suck. I think the song Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire is a great song for the bridal party, and using the bridal march, don't think you can go wrong there. I'm using Air on the G string for the bridal party, and Canon in D for myself. Wedding march at the end, again - can't go wrong. I'm thinking of having Hornpipe as my exit song. I checked out lots of websites for ideas, and there are even sites that seperate them into the different parts of the wedding. I've got all the catholic songs strung throughout the ceremony.
Good luck, btw... my god we've only got 46 days to go! lol. Just counted now. Crazy!

Are you having a song for after the vows too? Usually there is a nice love song after the vows, unless you are not having a soloist you can skip that. I am sure if you get stuck your guitarist can make some suggestions. After all it would suck to pick something he is not familiar with or can't play well.

Other popular wedding songs:

Ave Maria
Ode to Joy
Pacebel Cannon
Trumpet Voluntary
Sonata in A Minor

Good luck!

I'm sure he has a list of things that he usually plays. Other than the big entrance and exit, I would just trust him to choose some nice hymns.
