I am currently dealing with this issue (nightmare dress, straight out of a cliche Lifetime movie) and I could use some moral support.

Thanks! :)

And what is the best thing you've seen?
My wedding is in 16 days, just want to make sure no one tries anything stupid at my reception. lol
My wedding is all traditional and hopefully nothing goes wrong.
Of course I'm getting married outside and I bet it'll pour outside. (but I got backup in case that happens. )

What type of ceremony did you have the second time around? I know this sounds strange. I would still like to have some sort of ceremony with family and friends and perhaps a party after. Nothing fancy perhaps a pastor or JP in the backyard with a party after. Any ideas? I would really love to hear fom any one who has done this or been to one where some one is remarrying not just renewing their vows.

I am the matron of honor in my cousin's wedding. About four months ago, we got in a little tiff, and things have not been the same since...very formal, and almost fake. Her sister-in-law (her brother's husband) is her new best friend. We have been talking about the wedding on and off for the past couple of weeks - bride's maids dresses, cake, etc. Then, today, I got an email, sent out by the bride and her new best friend, telling all the bridesmaids (there are 8) when and where the bachelorette party is going to be, and asking me if I'm going to be there. I'm the matron of honor! I'm supposed to plan the bachelorette party! Should my feelings be hurt that she and her new best friend have gone behind my back and planned this - neither of them mentioned it when we were talking about other things... I am a sensative person, and sometimes, I feel like I overreact, but this hurt my feelings.

I recently got engaged, we have been together for 4 wonderful years. My bf's father is an extremely self centered man that get horribly jealous when attention is taken away from him and basically pouts and makes childish statements when either noone pays attention to him or doesnt do what he wants. We are currently planning our wedding and have decided to do it overseas where I have lots more family. His mother is fine with the idea and so is his sister. He called tonight and stated that he had "bad news" and that neither his sister, him or his mother would be going to the wedding as he "wouldnt survive the flight sitting for 4 hours."(nothing wrong with him aside from being a hipochondriac) My boyfriend called his sister to ask her why she wouldnt be going and she said she hadnt talked to him in a week so that wasnt true, all she had said was she had to save for it, same thing was said by his mom. So he lied about what people said because he simply wants to be childish and manipulativ

My family was throwing a bridal shower for my sister in law to be next weekend. She some how found out about it and called one of my relatives and told them that, "I will not show up at that party, If you throw me that party, there will be no bride there" She doesn't want to go to her bridal shower because she wants to go to ehr friends son's birthday party. My family is shocked. she is always rude like this to our family, but we all shut up to not hurt my brother. I think the camels back has broken. Please help me before i say something that I will regret forever. Is she correct to do this to someone?? Just give me your thoughts

My honeymoon has been cancelled because I have to have surgery a week afterwards. I'm having another one a few months before and the meds I will have to be on mess with my head a bit and I'm worried that I won't be able to really remember much.

On the other hand I've been waiting on this for a year. It was my bright spot while I was trying to get better. I love this man and we have so much of the planning all done, invites sent, people have booked travel, everything. I have a great photographer to capture all the memories and if I cancel it will be at least another year if not more before I'm healthy enough and have time to set another date.

I'm so torn. He says it's up to me whether we cancel the wedding or not.

We are not really the adventurous type but we like to have fun. My Fience really likes gambeling but I want a romantic type of honeymoon. Any suggestions on where I can meet the best of both worlds? Like an All - Inclusive with a Casino and preferable a Private Plunge Pool still with in my budget?

What are some good, creative prizes to give to both party-attendees and brides during bridal shower games? The prize for each game will include something for the winner and something for the bride. Not big stuff, just little prizes, please.

My Miad of Honour Just had a nice shower for me, she did a great job. She also asked the other Birdemaides for money and my Aunt who had also had a shower for me was asked by the MOH to bring food. IS this ok? Should my MOH have told me she hated her dress, and that the shoes look horrid? The other girls love the dress. Should the MOH go to the Stagette?

OK - Here is my issue: My maid of honor is my future sister in law. Her husband is a groomsman, her daughter is a junior bridesmaid, and her little boy will be the ringbearer. We are very close to her and her family, and I consider a great friend. I have picked out the bridesmaid dress and I absolutely love it. I showed it to her over a month and a half ago, and she has been trying ever since to find a different one. I have talked to her about helping her pay for it because her whole family is in the wedding - I totally understand that they will have to spend a decent amount of money being in the wedding. BUT - I just recieved an email from her where she told me that she wanted to pick out another one because SHE is not comfortable in it and if SHE has to wear it all night she will not be able to breathe. (I told her to get a bigger size and get it altered) and SHE wants to feel good all night if she's going to have to be wearing it. I am dumbfounded! My wedding is in 3 months - help!

We're getting married in October, and since both of us like to just hop in the car and discover new places, that's what we're going to do! I'm from upstate NY, near the Adirondacks, and we're just going to see what we can find in NY and NJ - shops, bed & breakfasts, hiking trails, you name it. What are some of the places you're going to for your honeymoons?

My fiancee and I want to get married outside, but a Catholic priest can not marry us, so he says. The Church does not recognize an outdoor wedding as valid, and the church will not allow weddings to be performed outdoors. Why is that? Adam and Eve were married in the Garden of Eden, and Jesus attended a wedding on the Mountian at Caina, both of which were outside, so why not us? I am not a Catholic so this does not really bother me much, but this is kind of disheartening to my fiancee who is. We are getting married outside anyways by a former Catholic priest who ran off and married a former Nun. Jesus taught us about love, so what's the deal with the in the Church building, not outside?

My Niece is getting married in a couple of months... My mother, (her grandmother) is a tad unconventional. My mom is not the sterio typical grandmother. She does not want any flowers, to be walked up the isle, and I am now battling with her now about her clothing. The wedding will be in a up scale location and it is after 6 pm. My neice is so worried about this and I took this problem off of her back. My mom is the only living grand mother and my neice is the only girl in the family of all boys. Should my mom wear a gown to this wedding? My neice is not dictating anything specific, buy my mom wants to wear a mini-skirt so the attention will be on her and not the bride!!! Any help will be greatly appreaciated!!!!
