I had the weirdest wedding I've ever been to. If you can even call it a wedding!

I have social anxiety disorder so having a real wedding was out of the question, we decided it would just be who absolutely had to be there. So we did it in my mother's dining room. Our Minister, who is a friend, sat at the table and we filled out all the paperwork together, while eating and sipping wine. Our witnesses were my mother and my grandmother, but my sister showed up because she was out and her baby started freaking out because he was hungry, so she had to come over to breastfeed him.

My MIL was on the phone. Our kids were in school. After paperwork we stood up and did the vows...while wearing jeans and sweatshirts (Minister was wearing his collar but felt overdressed for the occasion, lol). And we had to hurry up, because my new husband (who I had lived with for 13 years prior) had to leave for work in an hour.

We had a dinner with close family and friends a month later (which I had to get drunk for before it even started because of the social anxiety).

I wouldn't have changed a thing about it though. It was perfect for us, our lifestyle and personalities.

i might want to assert thats extraordinary. to imagine about it and stuff is general, yet to pass all out like this can be slightly a lot pondering you'll likely substitute your options alot contained in the subsequent like 14 years or so and your wedding ceremony plans includ what your destiny husband needs too, no longer basically you. I propose i theory about mine alot and my wedding ceremony replaced into no longer some thing like I pictured it to be and that i understand now that how I pictured it replaced into basically way too a lot. I were given married even as i replaced into in ordinary words 19. Didnt see that one coming and that i had a small wedding ceremony with very few human beings when I had deliberate for a large 2 hundred individual wedding ceremony. Your 15. imagine about different such issues as college, clothing and pals. you've numerous time to augment up and plan a wedding ceremony.

I've been to many, many weddings - and interestingly, none have been weird, odd, or strange... not even something unusual really happening (other than drunks at the reception....)
Our wedding was a traditional church wedding in the afternoon, with dinner and reception/dance in the evening - for about 200 guests. We had a Ukrainian Catholic ceremony, all in Ukrainian, and concelebrated by my husband's brother, who was our parish priest, and two of our friends who are priests - so that was extremely special. Many other things through the ceremony and reception highlighted our heritage and were extremely meaningful to us. Best of all, everyone had a great time and it was memorable to us, obviously, but also all our guests.

Hi,
Had a wedding in a small chapel in the mountains (in Melbourne, Australia), and went to a place for reception that gave us a great deal. We got inc in package, nights accom for first night married, wedding cake and we got wedding photo taken when we arrived. We gave guests a photo taken on our wedding day as their bombaneries (spelling?!) it was cheap and it was a good surprise for our guests who usually take lots of photos of the bride and groom on the day anyway. I had a friend that brought her chocolates for table decorations on ebay- it saved her heaps!
We had it on a sunday and it was cheaper.

My best advice to any bride organizing a wedding is not to stress! I know sometimes it is easier said than done.. if something stresses you out or is not working- walk away and come back to it or find an alternate way of doing that task. I gave that advice to a friend and she swears that was the best advice. Everything will fall into place, if doesn't, think it would make a great story to tell- does it really matter if something goes wrong?
Good luck for March 15!

Weirdest.....the actual ceremony was in a gym. The reception was in a back yard. Food consisted of:
finger sandwich's white bread...dyed pink & green with tuna.
There were two bottles of liquor. Gifts were gathered up and everyone was suffled out quickly so the bride, groom and her immediate family could go out to a restaurant. Absolutely horrible. I took some of the money out of the envelope.

Congratulations! Enjoy the planning process. It will be the time of your life!

I got married on June 3, 2006 (just celebrated 1st anniversary!!!). We had a traditional Catholic wedding at 6:30 in the evening. Our reception was at a restaurant on a river and the cocktail hour was outside at sunset.

It was by far the best day of my life!!!!

I went to an outdoor wedding where the bride wore a leather bodiced dress....everyone in the bridal and grooms party were decorated in henna tatoos (including the parents)...when you got to the wedding you were offered boiled peanuts and fried pig skins...after the wedding every one went swimming in a pond.

A true redneck wedding

Weirdest wedding was in a cemetary. She decorated with tealights on the tombs, had dinner in the mosoleum and dancing in the grassy area in front of it. She wanted to honor her decesed family and since it was already going to be decorated with flowers (her reasoning). Creepy

My wedding will be indoors, I don't want to deal with weather issues. October. Deep purple, redorange, brown, white for colors. semi-casual, rustic elegance.

Our wedding will be on the beach in St Thomas, a casual affair, followed by a casual luncheon afterwards. When we return, we'll have a clambake reception with dj, wedding cake, and lots of fun games and stuff...very casual and laid back.
