My best friends boyfriend just broke up with her and she is going to wedding tomorrow which he was supposed to accompany her to. I know her whole family (we've been friends since third grade and are now at the same college together in the same dorm) and we were discussing if it would be okay for me to go with her considering she RSVPed for two people. Do you think it is okay for me to go with her?

was it worth the wait? was it a lot of pressure to perform well or do the right thing in bed? or was it simply magical and you have no regrets?

I have two MOHs. One is my high school best friend and the other is my college best friend. I have been knowing my high school bf for over 10 years. When I showed her the dress she said she don't like the dress nor her arms being out and will not be in the wedding. At first I was not upset until she call me later that night asking me if we are still friends. That call left me thinking, is it something else more than the dress. What do you think?

I give myself to you on this day and for each that follows.

I take you to be my life's partner with our hearts beating as one, embracing our future together.

I will never abandon nor forsake you in times of need or hardship. I will hurt when you hurt, cry when you cry and perish when you perish.

I will spend all my days at your side, loyal and vigilant, guarding our love for all eternity.

All that I am or ever will be is because of the assurance and vigor that our love has granted us.

Let us embrace one another and spread our wings of fire, uniting us and proving to the world that our love is true.

Together forever my darling, my one and only……my love.

I am getting married Aug. 31, 2008. I can't find a place that is affordable that I like. Anyone know of a country club or a pretty church that you do not have to be a member. I would love to get married outside or atleast have the wedding and the reception at the same place. But right now I open for anything. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Because our ceremony is being held outside, we wont be able to do a unity candle ceremony because of the wind. It was suggested that we could do a sand ceremony or knot ceremony instead. Does any one know how these work and where I can find information on them? Does anyone know of another unity ceremony we can do?
Also, has anyone come accross a good website for different wedding customs and traditions?
Thank you for your help!

My dressmaker suggested them since my dress is so large and complicated. She said they are designed to feel completely dry, odorless and, of course, you change anyway before your "big night"...

I guess they are getting really popular?
Please no immature "ewwww" responses... thanks.

I have a co-worker who I'm very friendly with. We get along fine. For months she's been helping to plan her sister's wedding and is essentially paying for the entire thing(I don't know they're relationship well, but her sister has never been able to keep a job, and I have no idea why the husband to be isn't pitching in any). A few weeks back she gave me a wedding invitation, for myself and a guest. As well as info on where they're registered.

I like my co-worker/friend, but I'm not really interested in going to her sister's wedding. Do I have to give a gift though? I don't know about wedding ettiqute.
If I do give a gift I'd rather it be for my co-worker/friend than her sister(who I've never met) just because she's put in a lot of work and money into it with very little thanks it seems.

Would it be rude to gift my co-worker(not at the wedding, but a day or two before) instead of getting a gift to the bride?

I have a 15 year old daughter. I don't know whether to wear a wedding gown, or something more along the lines of a dress for Mother of the Bride? I feel odd in a wedding dress this old and with a child. I really don't know what to do.

The groom will answer a number of questions. Tonight, at the stagette party, the bride will have to answer the same questions - if she gets them wrong she will drink!

Looking for some good questions - not "Favourite Movie" or "Best moment together"....

Any help is appreciated!

Me and my fiancee' have been planning our wedding for over a year now (we have been together 4 years.) My brother, who is one of my groomsmen, out of the blue decides to plan his wedding 2 months before ours, after a very short engagement (they have been with each other 2-3 months max). I wish him the best and will support him through anything (like any brother would ;-) ), but I was just wondering if there is some kind of ettiquitte issue here. This is me and my fiancee's first marriage, and this is my brother's third (ditto for his bride-to-be.) Is there any reason for us to be upset about this?

I would like to think I'm fairly up on style but I have never really figured out the whole dress to flatter your body thing. I was wondering if anyone could help me on this. I'm looking for the appropriate sillohette and neckline I shoud look for in a dress. Its a beach wedding (but still on the formal side) and I would like to wear a long dress.

I am 5'3 (Short!) and 120lbs (weight holds in my hips and backend). I am not very well endowed in the chest area but I'm not completely flat chested by any means. I guess you could call me petite.

I'm not very curvey, but I have a small waiste and I look a lot younger than I am (I know I'll appriciate that someday). I want to look a little curvier or at least accentuate what i have. Obviouly a ballgown or poofyness is out of the question for a beach wedding. But meremaids and sheaths are ok. I want something not princessy, more sophicticated. So what sort of shape should I look at? What kind of neckline?

Ladies,

I have three back-to-back weddings to attend this summer. I've already spend a small fortune in plane tickets, new attire, hotel etc.and now it's time to think about the gifts.

Brides-to-be: Which items to you really REALLY want from your registry?

My budget is $100- 150 per wedding for a gift.

Good luck

So my MOH stepped down as she was constantly upsetting me not showing up to things and really not being there. Her reason for not coming to my Stagette is because, (her and her BF broke up 2 months ago. But they also broke up before that 4 years ago for 3 months and she dated another guy, and is already interested in another. She is not going to her ex BF's brother's wedding which is the same day as the Stagette ( she feels as though she should be there), instead she is having a day of mourning she says and felt it would be to hard to be there and show me her support. Am I out of line to be upset?

Ok so we are finally married... Yeah!!!! Not without the nick picking MIL Though... Thought it would calm down after the wedding but now she is nick picking the wedding annoucements? She wants us to send all her personal friends that we don't know an annoucement. I personally think she is on a gift chase if you ask me (which I think is totally tacky!! I want to be given a gift from the heart rather then well I had to do it...) I mean do we send annoucements to friends of the MIL that neither the bride or groom know? If I got a annoucement of someone I didn't know I would throw it in the trash!!! We had a very small wedding (which she made very clear she was unhappy about - but she didn't pay for it so she doesn't get to choose.... bottom line hubby and I paid for every thing and I think it is just really tacky to send annoucements to people we dont' know... she said if I didn't do them she would do the herself? What do you think????? Thanks....

Okay....so my friend bought her daughter a dress a few months back to be used as a flower girl dress..(I was really disapointed because I wanted to do that together). It's really pretty, but sort of creamy white next to my stark white dress. She said if I want the FG in another dress then it's fine and she can use this dress (which was on clearence for $15 anyway) for something else. Should I take her up on that offer, or let it be? Do you think creamy white looks okay with stark white? Not to mention I made her headpiece and it doesnt look good with the dress she bought......

I met this guy a while ago, and just last night, he proposed, with a ring. Is it possible to plan a wedding in less than three months, and get a wedding gown made?

My family and I were preparing for a wedding, he showed no interest. I would ask him to give me his opinion about the dress, guest lists, food matters, etc. I get no response or reaction would be one of an annoyance. I confronted him, saying you don't appeared to be the happy groom to be, what's wrong? His response, What do you expect me to do jump up and down for joy". You know I was floored. I had a "get to know you" luncheon with my mother in law to be after the luncheon I knew the wedding was off. She expressed her concerns:how can I be a good wife if I have never been married, in so many ways she labeled me as a tramp because I broke up with him earlier in the year. I should have considered his daughter's feelings because she is A student, wants to go to college and no behavioral problems. The next day he put the wed off, he wanted to wait to get a better shift, third shift would hurt our marriage and without any regards to my feelngs as I sat on the bed crying.
