Have you seen people post their pics on the knot? Do they actually think they look good with a pearl choker around their big fat necks? Why does the knot let them post pictures if they don't look good!?

I'm 22, and in 2 weeks will be attending my friend's wedding along with my girlfriend. I'm in his wedding party and I've known him since high school. My question is how much is a good gift to give? I want to help him with his bills since they just moved in together and I was thinking that $250 is sufficient? I am also having to spend $200 on a hotel room and $160 on a tuxedo, so I'm not exactly swimming in cash right now....Suggestions please

My fiance's sister, my MOH bought me the dress a couple of years ago when a bridal store went out of business. It is a beautiful ball gown with a 10'x6.5' train. I have done an excruciating amount of work adding pastel beading and fringe (western theme) to this dress. This is my 3rd (and last) wedding and I'm not sure of wearing the train especially since the wedding is outdoors. My fiance' says he wants it worn since neither of us have had a nice wedding before and it will be my last chance. I love the train and know how much work I put into it. I want to wear it, but I also know most of the bridal etiquette. What will my guests think? Does it matter? I want to make my future husband proud to be seen with me and I want our pictures to be just as beautiful. I've put a lot of time and effort into planning this, but I just need some input from anybody that may have been in this situation before. I'm open to any and all opinions and suggestions you may have. Please help me solve this.

I think I am going to walk down the aisle to John Lennon's "Love" rather than the normal wedding march. What do you think?

I don't want a wedding dress 2 feet past the floor, or anything too frilly and poofy, as this will be an informal wedding (the guys will be in nice khaki shirts, white button ups and flip flops). I don't want it too look too informal though. Any suggestions???

I am getting married in September this year. we know of a couple who has decided to also get married this month, and there will be lot's more weddings in the near future to attend. I want my wedding to be fun, and unique, different than usual weddings. I was orriginally going to do a slideshow of us growing up, but I see that that is a very common idea, I am looking for ways to entertain my guests, that are not common things you see at weddings..
any ideas would be a great help!
thank you :)

We are having a wedding abroad with 45guest attending and have made it clear that we DO NOT want any gifts or money.

This is exactly what we have written on our wedding website and invites ''There will be NO GIFT LIST for our wedding. The kindness you have shown by attending our wedding is the best gift we could have asked for and we are extremely grateful for you coming with us to Jamaica to share this special day.
We honestly hope that you have a wonderful time not only on the day of our wedding but your 2week stay at the resort we have chosen and during your trip around this island''

However we are still getting people asking for what gifts they can buy. My cousins joked that we are only saying that because we want money - which is honestly not true!!

Is a gift registry as rude as asking for money!!? We don't want people wasting money on things we won't be using or for people to think we are only saying we don't want gifts because we want money instead.

Any ideas??

My fiance and I aren't drinkers nor do we advocate others drinking. We also aren't going to have dancing at the reception to shorten the day. Any suggestions as to how we can make our wedding fun, memorable and exciting? Games? The last thing we want is to have a dull wedding...what do you think?

1) Is a bezel setting harder to clean and keep clean, since the metal wraps all the way around the diamond?

2) Does the bezel setting make the diamond look bigger or smaller? (I've heard both!)

My daughter is being married in a few weeks. It is a big formal wedding. The groom's father is dead and within his immediate family there is no one who could accompany me down the aisle or who could do the first dance with me at the reception (it is usual for my husband to dance with the groom's mum and vice versa). It has been decided my other son-in-law will perform these duties although it is not a case of him being a 'stand in' for the groom's father. However, when announcing the top table in eg Mrs -------- Mother of the Groom etc how should my son in law be addressed? Would Mr --------------- accompanying Mother of the Bride be okay? Doesn't sound right but he isn't my partner as my husband is present, neither is he my personal guest. Anyone got any bright ideas, bearing in mind it will be formally announced? With thanks.

My fiancée and I are getting married in September. I have a very large family, and we are trying to keep the guest count to 150 people. We like children, but can not see paying $25 per plate of food that the children are going to have three bites off of. Our thought is on the wedding reception invitation it will read "Adult Dinner and Reception, following the Ceremony at the Elm Creek Park Chalet". My mother thinks this is offensive to those who have children, we do not. We are trying to ask in the nicest way possible to leave children at home, because we can not afford to have that many people at the wedding. Not all children will be excluded, a few will be there, and we are just trying to keep the number down. The adults can choose do ignore the word adult on the RSVP as long as we get an accurate count. Any advice you could give us that is constructive and may help this situation is much appreciated.

My best friend is getting married next April. I am matron of honour however I live in the Uk and she in the USA. She wants to buy dresses in the States for the wedding party. She has her heart set on Tiffany Blue colour but many of the big US
bridal chains don't seem to have that colour. Do you know of any stores or websites that stock this colour in adults and kids dresses. Also, I am a US size 14, so would like to be a bit more covered up and different from the other (slim) bridesmaid. Do you have any suggestions, we would be so grateful, Thank you!

He wants to get married right away. The reason is that i wanted to wait until next summer to even start planning the wedding (this is when i graduate from school). When i told him this he withdrew and wouldn't talk to me about it, now he wants us to elope and i don't want to do this. Why is he acting like we need to get married now?
