By the way I assume your getting married in a church (aisle!) cos in a registry office there can be a lot of restrictions on what you can play. My friend couldnt have 'Angels' by Robbie.
We used a Bryan adams song for 1st dance , no not 'Everything I do', we used
I'll always be right there - bryan Adams (version on 'unplugged' album is brilliant.)
In the church I had a brass quartet, played a very elegant piece - cant remember its name
other good songs
heaven - bryan adams
more than words - extreme
forever love - gary barlow
hero - enrique iglesias
we actually chose our dance song after we got married ,before we went to the evening reception!!
My older sister had True by spandau Ballet - a bit out dated now. My younger had aerosmith - dont wanna close my eyes.
A friend had BonJovi - verses were great chorus abit too rock
A friend of my husband, her new husband chose it and when 'Simply the best - tina turner' came on, she walked off the dance floor!!!!! Lovely sentiment wrong time
My friend got married for a second time (1 daughter), a joke song put on was 'like a virgin' and for her husband (3rd marriage) '3 times a lady'!! It was a good laugh.
At the end of the day choose a song that you both like, and that you can dance to. Have a lovely day and all the best for the future. x

I agree with the last poster: do find songs that have meaning to you both. Check out song lyrics at one of a number of on-line lyrics sites (put "song lyrics" into your search engine and a bunch will pop up).
Also, if you're having a church wedding, find out if the church will let you use secular music. Many require that you use religious music, so that will narrow your choices for up the aisle.
My fiance and I are a little cheeky, and we're not having a church wedding, so we're going to use something like "My Girl" or Happy Together" for the processional and either "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" or "I Got You Babe" for the recessional. But, you may well want something more serious or sentimental. If you're using a DJ or a band, they should be able to suggest songs to you if you describe what sort of music you're looking for. Congratulations and best wishes!

Congrats on the wedding. The songs are really about personality and the mood of your relationship. If you are looking for something sweet and unique for your first dance song, maybe listen to "First Day of my Life" by Bright Eyes. You can find the video on Yahoo Music. Here are some of the lyrics: And you said, "This is the first day of my life.
I'm glad I didn't die before I met you.
But, now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you
And I'd probably be happy."
So if you wanna be with me
With these things there's no telling
We'll just have to wait and see
But I'd rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides, maybe this time it's different
I mean I really think you like me
It's not well known and it's super sweet and cute.

For walking down the aisle I heard a really beautiful version of everlong by the foo fighters done with violins and cellos, it was on Friends (monica and chandlers wedding) and would be my number one choice! As for the first dance, pick the first song you heard when you got together or a song that is particularly special to you both! good luck! xxx

If you like country there is a great new song out called "Come to my wedding" for the first dance and "Tommorrow" by Europe for coming down the aisle.

I had traditional wedding march to walk down aisle and we had Elton johns The one for the 1st dance. or there is always Savage gardens I knew i loved you.
Maybe for the final song of the night you could have Perfect day by Heather small.
Hope these suggestions help.

I'm getting married on Saturday. I'm going down the aisle to Prelude from Te Deum (Charpentier) and our 1st dance: "You're Just too good to be true" (Andy Williams I think, his choice). I would have liked "Don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith.

Well, a really great song could be "God Blessed The Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts for the first song. And for when you walk down the isle, you dont need anything that special, maybe just a melody, it will make you feel much more calm while walking down the isle. hope you like the advice(:
