You are right. It IS a sign! It is a sign that you were clumsy and messed up the dress. Looks like you'll have to wear a different dress if you can't get the stain out. It means little else besides that. Don't make it into more than it is! Congratulations and good luck with the rest of the wedding!

DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT try to get it out yourself. There is a possibility that store bought cleaners will ruin the dress. Take it to the nearest professional and see what can be done. A lot of the time they have same day turn around - but you'll pay pretty for it.

Nice try...what precisely were you doing with black shoe polish while trying on a wedding dress?! I find this just a little hard to believe.

No sign! Just take it to a cleaners and get it cleaned ASAP. Good luck getting it off, I'm sure it will be great.
When my aunthad her 25th wedding anniversary, the dog peed all over her train, but we cleaned it up and she didnt know about it until the next morning when we told her.

Its bad luck to try on your dress the day before the wedding.
go buy some tide-to-go and you'll be fine. Why ever on earth you would put on a white dress when there's black shoe polish next to it, we'll never know.

Call a professional cleaner - if you try to get it out yourself you may ruin the dress.
