Wow. I love hunter green!! I don't blame you for not wanting red - too Christmas-y right after, well, Christmas. :)
My first thought would be champagne. But you can have a BLAST with this!! Hunter can be a neutral, earthy tone so just about anything will go....I'm thinking of creamy whites, pale yellows or even an orange (if you're brave, of course) - but think about some of the really exotic flowers that have those rich green leaves and orange flowers....gorgeous!! You could also do a pretty coral-y pink color - very pretty.
The best advice I can give you is to think about the flowers you want. Once you decide on those, you can easily mimic the colors in the bouquets and tie in your accent color.

It is a really pretty color, hunter green. Any rich color like cranberry red, daisy yellow, or creme would look good with hunter green. For invites, you could have a creme invite with a red border and a hunter green ribbon at the top! That would look really pretty!
If you are talking about colors for dresses, hunter green can be included in anything. I suggest (this may not appeal to you, and that's okay) a pretty red for the dresses of bridesmaids; that way, you can add the green in the flower bouquets and the decorations.
Congrats on the wedding! Hope this helped!

Congratulations on your wedding - I am jealous!
Sounds pretty, think of winter green plants. Like Holly with it's bright red berries. Also Christmas cactus which has flowers that range from red to white.
I would think that the red which is for passion would be wonderful. You could even include the holly in table arrangements. I think the only difficult thing would be to use that color scheme and not have it look to much like Christmas decorating. But hunter green bridesmaid dresses with alternating red and white sashes would be cute.
Another idea would be to combine the hunter green with an ivory, that would be a good match but doesn't have the pop that the red would.
Happy Planning

Hunter green is a gorgeous rich color, perfect against the white of your gown and the snow outside.
You could play up the green by choosing two other greens to go with it, a medium and a pale green. A tonal combination like this works well for younger brides or afternoon weddings. This limits your flowers to white, but adds a lot of greenery for decorating, which would lower your flower costs.
You could choose a contrasting color such as burgundy for a dramatic impact. This opens up a wide range of floral and decorating choices with deep red roses or orchids with a rich burgundy center. This would be elegant for an evening wedding. While hunter and burgundy can increase your budget for flowers, you'll be able to find lots of great deals right after Christmas on garland, ribbon and even hunter green fabric for bridesmaid dresses. Add a touch of gold for even more sparkle.
Once you pick your second color, you'll be able to choose invitations more easily. A simple white invitation with deep hunter green script can be easily dressed up with a hunter green ribbon. Either tie a thin ribbon through two holes closely spaced at the top, or wrap a wide wire-edged ribbon around the center.
Congratulations on your engagement. I wish you many years of happiness!

A little bit of cool blue, an almost navy but not quite that dark. This can be silky and beautiful. By doing this you can also get invitations with a white under layer, a translucent blue "waxy" paper cover and a hunter ribbon. Good luck, and congratulations on your wedding. Best of luck. Hunter and blue are perfect to make a statement but still say it is winter and all.

my aunt did a winter wedding and she used hunter green and burgundy. it was really beautiful. You could even add in silver. If you can't find the right color invitations, you could always make them yourself. You have plenty of time. I used the 1 hour photo place in walmart and got the front of my invitations with a picture of us and Your Invited on it. Then I got some inexpensive antique looking paper at walmart for about 3-4 dollars for 100 sheets and designed what I wanted it to say. Then printed them off and cut them down to size and glued them to the back of the picture. It came out to be under a dollar per invitation.

I have seen weddings where it was hunter green and silver, hunter green and white, and even a hunter green and gold. They have all turned out pretty well. As for the invitation problem, if you choose white, the invitation could be white with hunter writing, ribbon, and the envolope could have a green interior. I advise going to this website http://www.invitationsbydawn.com/index.cfm They have awsome invitations for really cheap!

I understand wanting green in the wedding. What about just using the green from the flowers stems, or even adding your own greenery. You will be surprised at how much green that actually is. I had columns on the stage at my wedding with a type of greenery draped across them. I used a deep purple color at my wedding. I thought it turned out really pretty. I think it would look good with green, and also be good for winter since it is darker. Good luck planning!

hunter green and a pearl color or ivory would be pretty an very easy to find accessories with. Maybe for a little color throw some red in the flowers.... I would go with a simple invite, maybe the ivory or pearl with hunter lettering (shouldn't be too hard to find). Good luck and congrats!

i got married last year in april!
for our invitations we found some really nice ones that had hearts going around the edge in a pearl irridecent color. it was really pretty. we had the writting in hunter green and the inside envelopes with the hunter green.
for flowers i used different shades of pink. mostly pale pink it looks really nice with the green.
i do not agree at all with the person who said hunter green is out dated! i happen to love green and its also my husbands fav. color!!
