I am planning on going with the multiple wedding cake idea. Instead of having just one stacked cake, I was looking at having several round cakes. Two larger sized ones and the rest smaller. Any ideas on arrangement or patterns on the cake. I am looking to only use a few flowers if possible or go with a nice pattern. Any links or pictures you can provide would be great so I can borrow the ideas. Thanks!

I have not come up with a theme for our wedding yet. My husband to be is in the Army and of course that is not the theme for our wedding; however I would like to incorporate it into our wedding in some very unique ways. Could someone help me please. Thanks In Advance for not giving any rude answers:).

I am helping do wedding invitations. How does she let her guests know that she would rather have a wishing well instead of gifts. Should I place that info on the actual invitation after the line advising them of the reception immediately following? (Everything is going to be done in the same hall just in different rooms) She doesn't have separate cards with the reception information.

What is your opinion on a divorced mom of three wearing white or cream for her wedding dress? I don't care much about what the wedding ettiquette books say, but I don't want everyone sitting there saying "who does she think she is wearing that??" I was thinking of wearing a very soft pinkish cream, but I'm thinking my bridesmaid dresses may be a burnt orange color because both of us love orange and it would clash BAD. Opinions? I'm not going all out with a huge, frilly dress, my dress will be very simple, fitting, straight to the ground, hopefully satin with maybe a few rhinestones at the top, strapless.

I have a boyfriend who is more then i could ever dream of. I didnt know it was possible to love someone this much until I met him. I really never dreamed i could be this happy and it gets better everyday.

We talk about getting engaged on our one year anniversary (and getting married after two years- one year engagement) and although IM SURE hes the one (and thats not my question) im wondering what the general publics opinion would be when hearing we got engaged after "only" one year. (by the way.. im 24, hes 23)

I dont really care what other people think but it is always nice to here other peoples opinions on things! (haha.. i guess its just nice to here what people would be saying behind my back... b/c i know everyone on here is honest!)

My advertising group and I are doing our term project for a wedding photographer. We think that some of the advertising will probably be aimed at wedding planners. So how do wedding planners work. Do they already have all the services or do they have contact with a bunch of caterers, photographers, florists etc. and show them to their clients? If the second option is the more right, how do they know about all these businesses? and how do these businesses usually advertise to wedding planners?

I'm forming my wedding around the idea of being a blast for my guests....give me pointers even if you've never been to a wedding. What should I do/not do? I'm having a very short light-on-tradition sunset beach ceremony outside, reception in covered patio area, delicious luau-inspired food, open bar, fireworks, no receiving line....what else can I do that would be cool/unusual/memorable?

This is the wedding of our first born! He retired several months ago, and really doesn't have to work that day. There are others who would gladly do the 2-3 hours and could use the money. Even if he worked that day he could still attend the wedding. Our son says that if he doesn't attend, he need not speak to him again. I just don't understand how he could do this! If he went to the wedding he might have a really good time. I don't get it! I'm wondering if he is ashamed of our austistic, straight A student, or maybe me. I don't know. What do you folks think? Is there anything I can do?

Hi!
I am getting married in August and it is a 4pm beach wedding. Problem is I am not sure how to word on the invitations that it is not a t-shirt and shorts wedding. We want it to be a bit dressy but not suits and ties either. What would be the correct wording to use so the guests know the dress code?
Thanks for your help!

I can't stand the guy my best friend is marrying. He has a decent enough personality I guess, but he's a lazy selfish user who is bleeding her dry! He hasn't worked in the entire two years that they've been together. She bought her own engagement ring with her credit card, bought him a car, works every day and supports him 100%. He won't even wash his own dishes. He stays up until 4 am watching TV and gets up between noon and 2 in the afternoon. He's pathetic!! He's ugly and she's beautiful. I don't get it!!!! Anyway I have to watch my friend marry this fool tomorrow and say some kind of toast. HELP ME!!!!!!

I want to propose to my girlfriend. I already have the ring. We do not live together. I want it to be something she can talk about for a long time but I don't really want to do it in front of a lot of people like at a resteraunt. Any suggestions? Serious answers only please.

Forget about the cookie-cutter "Perfect Wedding", who on here did something unique and interesting?
For my wedding, my husband and I wore all black, I made my own black veil to ge with the gown, and we got married at the reverends house on a dark, icy evening last January. It was so lovely and I would not have it any other way. If you want to see one of the pics, just go to my 360 page.

We are marrying in February, & plan to send out invitations by August to allow potential guests to make arrangements if they'd like to attend. I can't seem to find anything showing what is apporpriate info to include...travel info (hotel & flight & car rental info), RSVP, save the date (for our reception once we return home) and the basic when and where info...anything else? We want to include everything that's necessary, but not send a book either.

Thanks for any ideas!

My fiance proposed to me over Christmas. We set the date for this July and began telling our family and friends. A month ago his mother tells me her and her new fiance (together for about 1 year) have set their date for the same date. She refuses to change, for no real reasons (she comes up with excuses for them, already told family/friends, took of work, etc. - all of which I had also done months prior). My fiance is still on my side of this, can't believe his mom did this to him, but he just wants everyone to get along and be happy, and now all of a sudden I feel like the bad guy, have been asked to apologize (by his sister) and more. It's ridiculous! I had set our date first, booked the place, called family from out of state, etc., not only to mention I have sentimental feeling for my chosen date, she told me they wanted it for the pretty flowers in season. So how do I keep the peace without sacrificing MY day to my future Mother-in-Law?
