im going to my boyfriends older brothers wedding in april and i had my eye on this dress i wanted but the main color is white with brown trim and blue polka dots, is it wrong to have the main color of the dress white? do i need to find another dress?

Does anyone have any practial suggestions for a bridal shower centerpiece. We would like to have something practical that can double as a prize. We though about a cake towel with bubble bath and stuff but it is too expensive.

with an amethyst ring. It was a beautiful purple stone in the center. Now she walks around with a diamond as the center stone, but insists she didn't replace it and it's the same ring. I believe her. Am I crazy?

My sister is having her sweet 16 in july 2007, we had both plan to place my daugther in her court since she was in my belly. Now that the time has come its a little hard because we dont seem to find another boy that is as big as my daugther. so i suggested that she puts my daugther as a flower girl...but i dont know if it would look right...its not a wedding after all but hey, she really wants her to be in the court...help please

I live in NYC and I'm invinting 500 people to my wedding next year. I found a place that caters food and will charge $60pp. That's the cheapest I've heard so far, but still a lot of money that I have to pay. I'm thinking about cutting down my list of invites.
What should I do? Also my fiancee and I are paying for everything ourselves as we do not have supportive parents.

I am paying for our ministers hotel room since he is driving 3 hours for our rehearsal and wedding.....I would like to include a "thank you" basket in his room that will be placed there before he checks in to the hotel....what would be some good things to place in this basket?? My boyfriend and I went engagement ring, and wedding band shopping on 2/27/07. I went on vacation with family to MX from 3/1-3/11. He picked up the rings while I was gone. I wanna see the engagement ring already.... but he hasnt shown it to me. He's talked about it since I've been back though, but I still don't have it. He told me I wouldnt get it til next month. problem one:
i have been dreaming of my wedding since i was 3 years old and my parents are telling me they dont have any money to give me. without their help, i cant afford the wedding i always dreamt of. i got engaged on wed and yesterday i was already in tears. i dont want this to be a sad occasion in my life. whats the right way of dealing with this issue?

problem 2. my brothers girlfriend ( my good friend and my bridesmaid) is the same age as me and has been married b4 ( to a looser) when i told her i was engaged she seemed exicted for me but when i showed her my ring she didnt say anything and just looked away. then my dad again told her to come take a look and she said, " i did, its nice" i think she might be jelous, but she is my bridesmaid and i dont want her jelousy to **** up my wedding. how would i deal with this issue?

OK. So I have 4 older sisters (much older! 15 years is the gap between me and my youngest sister). They are all married with children already. I just got engaged and I know my sisters will want to throw me a shower. The problem is with my extended family. All of my female cousins were invited to all of my sisters showers because my sisters knew my cousins well as they were similar ages. But for me, I have never talked to any of my cousins because I was always little when we use to family get-togethers and now I never see them ever. It would feel EXTREMELY akward if they came and I am already a very shy person. What should I do when my sisters bring up the topic of a shower to me? Should I Just tell them straight out, I dont want my cousins there? Would that be mean of me to do since all my sisters would obviously enjoy seeing my cousins and talking to them?
Its kind of a weird subject and I dont think my sisters are aware of the fact that I've never really talked with my cousins.

Help, My husband & I have 2 wedding invitations... 1 from he quotes "buddy" (groom) and 1 from my friend (bride)... We would to go to both but, can't.....To make a long story short we both decided were going to the bride's wedding, and the reasoning on that was personal,(don't think I always get what I want) but, anyway.... we sent the RSVP back to the groom & today my husand got a text message from groom saying... " thanks, you're a great friend" which hurts both of us, I told my husband to explain but, my husband says "well, it's not he's a real friend we don't even call each other, they haven't really talked in about 5 years... but, it bothers me I don't want the groom to be upset, my husband says to leave it alone but, I don't know????? any comments??? Thanks
