I am paying for our ministers hotel room since he is driving 3 hours for our rehearsal and wedding.....I would like to include a "thank you" basket in his room that will be placed there before he checks in to the hotel....what would be some good things to place in this basket?? I was thinking candies and stuff but we will be paying for most of his food while he is here....does anyone else have any ideas??

Porn and beer. ;-) Kidding.

Snacks and beverages for sure. After a 3 hour drive he'll appreciate some Pellegrino and chips.

Make sure your minister isn't diabetic before you include sugary snacks in his basket. Also you might want to make sure he doesn't have any other dietary restrictions. Snacks and bottled water is definitely a good idea. Definitely include any regional goodies specific to your area. A guide book to the area would also be very nice.

How about some Gourmet Teas? Ummmm, a CD from the songs at your wedding. Something inspirational, try Hallmark. They have some great things. Some cookies from a shop or like some fudge? The possibilities are endless.

Need more idea's let me know!!

Ask him before hand if he has any hobbies. If he likes crossword puzzles then put that with food to snack on. If he likes movies ask him what movie he hasn't seen put that with snacks. Just because he is a minister doesn't mean he isn't human. Something so he won't be bored sitting there in the room waiting.

Aren't you a wonderful & thoughtful person!

Maybe some cheese & crackers, chips, for snacking. Some fruit. A cupcake or two. Maybe a mug, some tea, coffe or hot chocolate.
Possibly some manly soap, moisturizer; but now I'm thinking more like me, not a man.

A fruit basket would be a good gesture and you could throw a few "sinful" candies in there to spice it up. Also, include a thank you card expressing your graditude for him traveling for your special day.

you could still do a basket. a small one is just as thoughtful as a big one. add a nice thank you card and you will be all set.

I would suggest maybe a watch but that totally depends on your budget so maybe chocolates and a nice card. I think that he would really appreciate anything you gave him because your getting married and all he needs to know is that you care.

I think a nice thank you card and maybe a nice gift certificate to a dry cleaner or house cleaning. Maybe a gift certificate to a christian book store.
