My boyfriend and I went engagement ring, and wedding band shopping on 2/27/07. I went on vacation with family to MX from 3/1-3/11. He picked up the rings while I was gone. I wanna see the engagement ring already.... but he hasnt shown it to me. He's talked about it since I've been back though, but I still don't have it. He told me I wouldnt get it til next month. I dont mind waiting... but Im anxious to see it already. Should I ask him if I could see it or just wait?

You should patiently wait! I know it will be hard. I would be freaking out and anxious too if I knew my man had bought my ring already. I sent him a list online of lots of different styles that I like so he can just choose one from there. I told him I don't want to talk about it anymore. I want it to be a surprise. He is probably trying to plan a big proposal. Don't ruin it for him...or for you.
I'm sure that ring is burning a hole in his pocket too. My bf told me the other day how his college roommate was staring at the engagement ring he bought for his girl every chance he got. He'd take it out and look at it and just sit there in awe until the day he asked her to marry him.
Its a big deal for your bf too, I'm sure.
Congratulations. Next month is just around the corner. You can wait...

I know it is hard to resist but it is going to make the moment even more special. Even when I had my engagement ring, I wanted to try on my wedding band to see it all together but he would not let me. But it made the moment when I put it all together even more exciting. If you saw it, it would ruin a little bit of the special moment for you. He is just looking out for you or likes to watch you suffer (just kidding).

More than likely he is either having the ring engraved with something, or he's still in the process of paying for it. Don't rush it, all the waiting makes the moment all the sweeter.

A coworker of mine bought a ring for his girlfriend and had a really special proposal worked out, but she found the receipt and had a fit to see it. He cancelled his plans for the big proposal and just gave it to her. He seemed disappointed and it robbed her of the experience. Be patient.
