I don't know the tradition, but our pastor wore one. I guess it depends on what he is wearing, ours wore a very nice suit and I considered him a member of the wedding party.

it really doesnt matter. but traditionally No. unless he is part of the family or really close to you or your soon to be spouse. but NO he really doesnt need one, hes really not part of the wedding party and that why you give the guys boutonnieres for anyways is to show that they are part of the wedding party and are in the wedding or have a special place or dutiy to do in the wedding, not saying that the ministers part isnt important its just not traditional

congratulations

No, the presiding minister does not get a boutonniere. Good question!

It would be very unusual for the minister to get a boutonniere, unless of course he is a relative such as brother or uncle.

No he does not get a flower. He is not part of the wedding party. He has been hired to perform the wedding.

Not usually, they wear robes most of the time, so he wouldnt need one for his lapel. HOWEVER, there isnt a rule against it and if you know if he will be wearing a suit to marry you, instead of a robe you can get him one. But let it be his decision if he wears it or not, he might not want to.(dont be offended if he chooses not to) If he is going to wear a robe though, dont even bother.

Generally no. If you know him that well that you want to include him as part of the wedding party, at the reception, it would be a nice gesture.

Sometimes. Use to the norm.
If he or she is wearing a suit, it would work. But I wear a robe to most of my ceremonies, even the ones that are more informal. It just wouldn't work when I wear it.
