Weddings - March 2007

Anyone know what i can do or say to make them come? They don't approve cause hes older than I and was previously married with two kids. we now have a 2.5 year old adopted son and it took them 1.5 years before they even wanted to see my son.. I find them to be two faced and rude to me no matter what i do. Im adopted by them but yet they didn' t approve of me adopting. They have seen and met my fiance like once only cause we ran into them. I just don't understand them at all! I want them to come to my wedding but im pretty sure the answer is no. Any suggestions on what i can do or say to get them to come or any advice. I mean every girl wants their parents at their wedding to give them away... It won't feel right without them and i will be very upset!

My step-daughter lives out of state and will be having her shower soon. Due to family issues her father and I will not be attending the wedding. I wanted to send her something for her bridal shower to show her that we care and that we are thinking about her. However, I don't know how this would be regarded or what to send her.

I'm 25 yrs old filipina and my boyfriend is turning 30 this year. I've met him when I was Aupair in Germany. I already met his friends, family and even some relatives when I'm still there. We've been together for almost 2yrs now. When I came back here in the philippines, he visited me 3times in 10months. He was able to meet my family and some relatives too.

Sometimes where's making fun of getting married but it seems that its not YET going to happen. Is he not ready for marriage?

if I, as the bride, had a rose bouquet, and my bridesmaids had simple calla lily bouquets (http://www.sarahsflowers.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=667) would that look right? It wouldn't look daft? Even if I had some calla lilies & roses in my bouquet?

I have been dating this really great guy for 8 months, he asked me to marry him and i said yes. He wants a traditional wedding and i don't want the headache. We agreed on getting married on a cruiseship with family and friends joining us on the cruise. I have 7 very import females in my life that I would like to have as bridesmaids. Is this too many to have for a catholic, hispanic wedding? My Partner and myself got married 2 years ago and I hated it. The best thing out of it is that we are together and we have a beautiful baby girl. Everything was wrong. We paid for it, but didn't get to choose the venue, our photo's didn't work out and alot of other dramas. On our 5th anniversary I would like to get married again, on the beach and have a cocktail party after. Is that silly?

My white wedding dress has a bit of silver threading on it which is not too prominent, but it's definitely silver. I was so in love with the dress that I didn't consider how this would look with my gold jewlery. I'm more of a gold than a silver person. I'm going to send reply postcards with the invitations to my wedding. I found a place on snapfish.com where you can put your own picture on the back and then your own wording on the back, however, you have to put your return address on the postcard. Obviously MY address wouldn't be the return address... it would be where the postcard is getting sent back to let me know how many guests will be coming from that family. Does anyone else know any website or an alternative way to make them (preferably by computer) that is almost the same but (perhaps) specifically for response postcards? Thanks!
