Yes, take her bouquet back to the florist, they will have some different options for you, whether its freezedrying so the bouquet is kept in its original form or just drying it they will know how to do it so its done right and will be beautiful. But be aware, the freeze drying especially is very expensive (but worth it), so dont pass out when you hear them talking abot prices in the hundreds.
Good luck!

There is a product called Silica gel. Get it from a large chain craft store. It will keep the flowers indefinately. Drying &/or freezing will dry them out and cause them to crumble.
When you see those flowers pressed in picture frames around an invitation; they've been dried with the gel.
It's not actually a gel, but crystals. Take a look at the stuff. Cool.

you can hang them upside down for a few weeks and let them naturally dry, but if you want to keep to color and all, i would talk to a florist and see what they can recommend. there used to be some stuff that honestly looked a little like kitty litter you would cover the flowers with it and then microwave, it would take out all the moisture and preserve the color... it's been a long time since i've seen this stuff, but mayeb it still exists.

Hang the flowers upside down in a dry room for several weeks. They will dry out perfectly and in the form of a bouquet (or however you left them). Can be turned into a wall hanging to remember the occasion by. We did this for the flowers that were left on my father's grave when he passed and now they are a remembrance of him.

Hang them up to dry somewhere dry and with good air circulation. We hung my first bridesmaid's bouquet from the ceiling in corner of a room that isn't used too much and it dried well.

Hanging them to dry and then hairspray! I know, weird, but that stuff is like glue. Your florist should know if something else works too.

You can take them back to the florist to dry them. I saw people drying their wedding bouquets and placing them in nice photo frames.
Congratulations!!
