£15 for an engagement gift considering you don't them that well is ample!!.. it is not necessary but you could...

Get the a nice card from Clinton's.

As a gift consider:
Cheap champagne (maybe a Sainsbury or M&S brand)
Nice white/rose wine
Photo frame from H Samuel
Nice champagne flutes
Gift voucher from John Lewis, Marks and Spencers, or you can Bonds vouchers from the post office which they can use in about 50 high street shops

Engagement presents are NOT necesary and they are not expected, A card would do just fine. Some people go as far as get a bottle of wine or chanpagne, flowers or a potted plant along with the card. Most people bring themself only, as that is only that is expectec on an engagement party.
Don't worry abot presented for them now, you will be hit later on with bridal showers, bachelor party expenses, tux rental and a wedding present. (and later on a baby shower).

Godo luck

A gift voucher from Debenhams or M&S. Safe bet. Nineteen is a very young age these days to get engaged. A good idea would be to give two seven pound vouchers so that if it all goes wrong they can have seven pounds each!

Do you have to buy an engagement present? I wouldn't bother, just get a nice card. It's enough that you will have to get them something for the wedding!

SINCE THEY AREN'T OLD ENOUGH FOR WINE...I would go with a gift card to a restaurant. Young couples love to go out to eat! That way there's no fight over who gets to keep the gift or anything like that! Good Luck!

Birth control -- just joking. I just attended an engagement party and they received everything from an expensive set of pots and pans through to a casserole set. We gave them a lovely set of bath, hand & face towels.

Just get them a nice card and a bottle of wine, its a nice gesture and not expensive, especially if you don't know them very well x
