My white wedding dress has a bit of silver threading on it which is not too prominent, but it's definitely silver. I was so in love with the dress that I didn't consider how this would look with my gold jewlery. I'm more of a gold than a silver person. Can I wear gold jewelry with a white wedding dress with some silver threading?

One thing I keep thinking about is that I want to invest my money into jewelry I'll actually wear in the future. I would much rather invest in gold than in silver that I would never/rarely wear again.
Everyone in my family is olive skin-toned, so we all look better in gold. So my mom and aunts and cousins wouldn't really have nice silver jewelry to lend me.

Wow! Thats a beautiful wedding gown! I think gold jewelry may not look good with that wonderful dress.White and Gold usually doesn't go well together, you see.But if you really insist on wearing gold, you can try white gold jewelry.Well,i know, its looks like silver but its a lot better than silver. White gold jewelry can really compliment those silver embroidery on that dress! Are you sure that you are going to wear gold shoes? White shoes with some nice shiny beadwork or pearls will be good. You can wear silver shoes also! My very best wishes for your wedding ! Happy married life!

The best advice I can offer is try the jewelry on with the dress. You should be able to tell if the gold is too much for the dress that way. If the jewelry is delicate and the silver threading isn't terribly prominent, you might be able to get away with it. If it doesn't work, see if a close friend or relative could lend you silver or white gold jewelry. (Or, skip the jewelry all together)

Wear the gold jewelry. You aren't mixing silver jewelry with gold, only silver detailing on the dress with gold jewelry, and if the overall effect is that you look beautiful, I bet no one will even notice.
Or, you could opt to go with pearls, which are a traditional choice for weddings.

Normally you shouldn't be mixing the two colors together. Have you tried going into a jewelry store and asking if you could rent some jewelry for your special day? This may take some doing, but I bet you could find one. Instead of wearing your gold jewelry, why not try pearls? That would look fabulous. If your short on funds, maybe you could borrow from someone, and use it for your something borrowed. If you can't find anyone with pearls, look on Overstock.com. I bought some for my daughter there, and she loved them. You can pick up earrings and the necklace. Good luck.

It's your day, you're the bride,...nothing you choose to do is wrong! What are your wedding colors? If you haven't chosen them yet, why not center the color theme around silver and gold. Make it look purposeful. If not, you're still good to go with the gold jewelry. I HIGHLY doubt anyone will notice since you say the silver threading is not too prominent.

I wouldn't wear gold with silver threads. What about wearing pearls? Is the dress strapless, or does it have a plunging neckline. I would get suggestions from the bridal place where you bought the gown, and if pears are out, I'd borrow it from a friend.

Not a great idea. Use white gold or try to get away with pieces that are both gold and silver.

Honey, it's your wedding. If you want to wear gold jewelery (that looks better on you!) with your gown, and if it will make you happy (as well as beautiful!) then do it. Pay no heed to the "fashion police." They are not interested in your joy and happiness. Let your wedding day be one filled with people and things that make you happy! Best wishes for a wonderful life!

normally you can go to a bridal shop ( i worked at 1 for years) and either buy inexpensive ($20) sets or rent them. they will look nice and you wont be out of a lot of money for silver jewelry you wont wear again. congrats and good luck.
