How much can they expect to be paid.
This could be someone with a golden voice not necessarily with a record deal or anything.
If you're linked to a wedding planner for example, and they contact you to sing a song at a wedding, what should the charge be?

I would have them sing for me first before trying it out on the wedding and find out that you hired William Hung....Ask her how much she charges since she is only singing one song. Prices vary with location. But I would not pay over $200 for her services.

We are having a good friend sing at our wedding. She does weddings all the time, but has her own cd out and has gone through school for voice. She is very talented and sings with her band at a pub most of the time. She is charging us her regular price of $200 for the 2 hours she will be there (setting up and singing while guests arrive, as I walk down the aisle, when we sign the papers, and as guests leave). Thought this was a decent price to pay.

I have sung at wedding ceremonies, and the going rate in Florida is $50.00 per song. I have had the mother of the bride on many occasions present me with a coursage before the ceremony to wear as well, I have never expected it, but it is very thoughtful.

I am getting married in August and am paying my officiant $250 for all of his work. Imagine someone singing getting paid more than that - I can't.

I am having someone in my family sing a song - someone I know - so it will have more meaning. Try to find a family member or a friend sing for you - they will do it just because they love you and want to make your day special.

$100. However, I have sung at a friend's wedding and a sister's wedding "free" of course!

I would say between $500 and $1,000 for 2 hours time of singing and entertaining.

Ask them what they charge. I would make sure they receive at least $100.00
