what makes a guy want to marry or not want to? is marrage like possesing the other person like a guarantee? or is it simply a act of love? or is it seen as just a piece of paper? or can a couple have a happy life- relationship without the need of getting wed?

I went to a co-workers wedding a few years ago where all the bridesmaids, with the exception of one that was a sophomore in high school, were all hot college students. Well, I had sex with all of them during the wedding party in the back room. At different times ofcourse. My friend, who I also work with, met one of the bridesmaids at the same wedding (they didn't have sex at the wedding) and afterwards, they started dating. They got engaged last year & their wedding is in a few months. My friend believes in the whole "come clean" thing to be honest with any controvesial thing that may be a problem if found out after they are married. His fiancé told him that she had a secret about me & he now won't get married till I tell him. I don't feel its any of his business. One thing she also wants me to tell him is that the HS sophomore at the time was actually her sister. What do I do? They weren't together when I had sex with her and her sister at the wedding!

We are getting married by a justice of the peace in three weeks. Our officiating officer used to be my boss, and I would like to give him a gift from my fiance and me as a couple. Any suggestions on what would make a nice, appropriate gift?

We're just looking for a building or banquet hall, not a hotel which furnishes all accommodations.

I am really stuck for ideas. I have very nice triangular shaped favor boxes that I am tying with personalized ribbon. They sure look nice on the outside, the problem is, what to put in them. I had really wanted personalized M&M's but they don't ship to Canada. I want something classy and chocolate(I think). Oh I don't know. Do you have any suggestion?

I was raised in a Roman Catholic home. I was christened, first communion, confession and conformation. He has no "official" religion. Our daughter was christened into the Catholic faith and his parents did not attend nor did they explain to me why they "couldn't" attend. We have discussed a Catholic wedding, but I am concerned that his parents/ family will not attend because it is a Catholic ceremony. Please help!!! I don't want to give up my religion and beliefs, but I want his family to participate.

He really wants us to get married while he's there. I really do believe that it will be worth the wait but it just seems like it's such a long time.

I am in bit of a dilemma-I need advice One of my close friend's sister (who I am friends with but I wouldn't call her my best friend) is getting married and asked me to be in her wedding, I accepted, everything has been great until now, the bridal party got together and set a date for the shower. two weeks later I found out that I have a family member that is graduating from law school and it is on the same day as the shower. I mentioned it to my "close friend" and I didn't even get the whole statement out and she said "your commitment is to the wedding and I don't want to hear anything different"
Well I felt that was kind of harsh since I just basically brought it up in conversation and I know it's her sister's wedding and she wants the best for her so I kinda shook that comment off. 30 min later I get a text saying that I needed to tell her whether I was going to be a part of the shower by that night. I told her nothing was going to change because I was still contributing to the shower and I did not want the date changed... that I just needed some time to think about my dilemma. well the next day I called my relative and told her my dilemma, she offered to move her party until later in the day so I could attend both. I called my friend back up and she was basically stand-offish and rude towards me.
ok so fast-forward to now.... my "close friend" has told me that she does not want me in the wedding anymore because I seem like I have no interest and that I have totally hurt her feelings. I called her sister and she told me that I was still in the wedding and she wants me to be but if it is too hard for me to stand up because of my "close friend" that she understands
MY QUESTION TO YOU ALL:::
Do I back down because clearly this "not so close friend of mine" is going to make this process a living hell for me (by the way she is the maid-of-honor) or do I suck it up and not care about what she thinks and be there for her sister's special day...

When she first told me this I suggested the star wars theme. She said no because our other sister had used it. If anyone out there knows of a good non traditonal wedding march that is not the star wars theme let me know. Thanks.

Was just wondering if some of you could share your honeymoon experiences with me. We are planning a honeymoon for the end of May 2008 and were wondering where the best/worst destinations were. We were thinking of a Sandals but have had some horror stories and reviews online about many of the sandal's resorts. We do want something all inclusive and most of all relaxing, not a big party. Your great experiences and horror stories may help. Thanks in advance.

I hate champagne, and don't really want to toast with it during the wedding. What would be the best of these choices?

1. Everyone toast with sparkling wine or juice
2. Everyone toast with champagne, except me
3. Everyone toast with something completely different, if you choose this answer; what exactly should we toast with?

I want to make everyone comfortable, don't mind being different, but don't want my guests to think I am tacky or not considering them when I choose.

Thank you !!!

My parents are paying $3000 towards our wedding. That plus the money I can come up with by then is enough to cover everything but the photographer. I found a really good photographer for $875 which includes 8 hrs, engagement photos on a cd w/rights, up to 500 pics on dvd with rights, 250 4X6, 2 8X10s, etc. The husband and wife run the business out of their home, but they are very good. Anyways, my fiance's mom said originally that she paid for catering and stuff for his sister's wedding and she would try to help. Then, he asked her the other day if she would want to pay for the photographer I found. She said she would look around, too. Then today he told me she said she would pick one out and pay for it but it will be of her choice, not ours. She is very cheap too meaning she will probably hire a student or something. Is this normal for a person to say or is she just trying to create problems? (she has tried to plan the whole thing and not let me have any say...
