ok i have about 100k in stocks, bonds savings ect and no children.he has a good job but about 30k in debt, huge child support payments, controlling nasty exwife and no savings at 35 yrs old.we do love each other BUT i do know i will allways play 2nd to his "1st" family thats what you have to deal with when you marry someone with a ready made family.so i don't plan on getting a divorce but if push can to shove i would be the 1st the go.

I'm currently talking seriously with my boyfriend about getting married (though not incredibly soon, we're still in college). However, we can't really picture getting married in a church (we both believe in God, but don't actually attend services or anything), and I'm terrified that if I plan my wedding outdoors, it will rain! I can't come up with a relatively cheap solution. Does anyone know of anywhere besides a church or outdoors, or a hotel (because I'm sure that's bound to be expensive!) Thanks :)

I feel bad i backed out of going th bacholerette party due to money, and didnt realize how costly the wedding would be. Im not in the wedding im a guest, its a friends wedding, we used to be good friend but now i only see or talk to her every couple of months. My husband and i are in the process of purchasing our first home as well as starting a family and its a lot of money for us right now. Am i being cheap or is this realy a lot to spend to attend a wedding?

I just got engaged, but I don't know if it matters that the ring isn't real. The first time he asked me, the ring was real but the proposal was fake as hell. I know he didn't want to then. This time the ring isn't real but he at least said the proposal right. Already with the cold feet. What should I do???? I want the fairytale.....

I saw the most beautiful gown on-line the other day and I thought it was the dress of my dreams for my wedding day. Then I realized it wasn't a wedding gown, but a quinceanera gown. Is it wierd for a bride to wear this and do you think I can have it altered to get a train?

I wanted to do my own flowers for my reception because we're on a tight budget and some arrangements just look too easy. Where can I go get fresh flowers at wholesale price around orange county or LA area? do i make the pieces the day before? how do i keep the arrangements fresh until the wedding which will be at night about 6pm?

Hi, I was just wondering if there's any etiquette to letting the bride-to-be know the price that was paid for the ring. Does the groom-to-be just let her know right shortly after giving it to her? I have documentation (e.g. certification docs, etc.) which came with the ring. Do I just let her know, which seems a bit tacky, but maybe I'm just being overly sensitive. Thanks.

So, about a month ago we decided we want to really start planning our wedding. We decided for Oct of this year. 8 months or so away. Well we were talking about everything and so excited but recently he's stopped talking about it. I hate to bring it up all the time because I dont want to make him stop talking about it even more. I just really want it to be in Oct but I feel if we keep waiting to make plans than we aren't going to be able to get the church and the place we want. Does anyone have any advice? I tell myself I'll wait another month and if nothing happens than I'm just gonna forget it.

How long should a couple date, or live together, before they get married? We get along great, and have so much in common.

My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

I have a friend that I have been out of touch with for 3 years. We came back into contact with each other recently and the most we ever keep in touch now is by email and even that is become rare. I have now been invited to his wedding. Even though it would be nice to catch up with him and some other old friends who might be there, I'm sure I would feel like a stranger if I went. Plus, I don't even know the bride! Should I RSVP to this wedding? And if not, should I still send a gift?

In January my fiance and I got engaged. We planned on surprising our parents in March at my mother's graduation. Well in febuary I found out i was 13 weeks pregnant, and decided to tell our mothers about the pregnancy/engagement. We both would like to marry soon, but finances and a lack of time (5 months till baby's due) prevent planning a traditional ceremony. My suggestion to my fiance was to have a "courthouse ceremony" now and plan for a large traditional ceremony next spring. He thinks that's backwards, and that we will become so busy w/ the baby; 3 yrs will go by, and I'll be unhappy w/ the fact I never had my "dream ceremony". My mom suggested settling for a small ceremony, but upon doing it, I want it to be right. I dont want to "settle" for something I will regret years down the road...What should we do?
