Please Help! I need to make my own floral arrangements for my wedding. Any advice?

I wanted to do my own flowers for my reception because we're on a tight budget and some arrangements just look too easy. Where can I go get fresh flowers at wholesale price around orange county or LA area? do i make the pieces the day before? how do i keep the arrangements fresh until the wedding which will be at night about 6pm?

if you have a friend with a business you can get a tax id number to gain the wholesale liscense. otherwise they open to the public after the hours of selling to florists.

Most flowers in bud form may take up to three days to open. Just make sure to arrange them maybe on the evening of the thursday prior to your wedding (if you are having a saturday wedding) be sure to cut each flower stalk freash when you bring it hoem and keep them in a cool space away from direct sunlight.

why do u need fresh flowers? i used fake flowers and made my own arrangements. I made my maid of honors bouquet and everything. Now she will have it for a keepsake and it wont die. just like my bouquet. a piece of my wedding i can enjoy looking at everyday. my table centerpieces were easy and fake too. my guests took them home they liked them so much. Walmart, or the dollar store, try both and combine. do a preview first before u buy. put some flowers together, use ur imagination. u will b surprised

Just found an awesome site called Fifty Flowers that is cheap and has lots of great tips for wedding flowers. They look AWESOME. I am going with this for my wedding.
