girl, my wedding is not until october 4, 2008 and i am at that point right now. i hate anything to do with weddings, including planning, dresses and flowers. nothing! i cant stand the thought of planning or even having a wedding and i have only been engaged since october 28th.

Haha same thing happened to me! I was all about the wedding for about a week and then I wanted nothing else to do with it. My mom pushed a lot so I think thats why I was so hesitant. In the end I told her what I wanted and wouldnt budge on. She took care of the rest. And I went to pick out my dress alone cause I didnt want the pressure from everyone else. It made it a lot easier than going with someone. Im probably weird that way but letting someone else take care of it helped.

Maybe with just so much going on, you need a break from everything. I would schedule a few days away from all of the planning and when you come back, you'll be refreshed and ready to get back to all of the wedding craziness. Good luck and congrats!! Remember to enjoy your time, you'll want to look back and love the process of planning it all.

I feel the same way. My wedding is in one month and it is just as stressful as everyone says it is. If I could cancel and get my deposits back I would be booking a flight to las vegas.

A friend of my wife's made her dress as the wedding present to us, so it was a simple full-custom dress. No books, just fittings.

You either don't want to get married or you just want to elope; I'm not sure which. However, if your plans are made and deposits paid you're having a wedding; which means you need a gown.

Nerves, plain and simple.
This is all too much too soon for you. You need to take a vacation or maybe just a long weekend away from everything and everyone to clear your head.
Good luck x
