I am getting married in June, and am having a hard time deciding if I should invite one of my cousins or not. The problem isnt really my cousin but more that I am concerned she will bring her boyfriend with her, who recently got out of jail. She has four children now with three different men. I really would rather not invite the children either because I have not even met the younger two children and do not see them often. The last time she came to a family party she brought her boyfriend with her and he was seen stealing food and alcohol when they were leaving the party. I would feel really uncomfortable if she brought him with her to the wedding, but I feel bad excluding only one family member when every other cousin is being invited. Any advice would be appreciated!!

I am getting married on july 7th by Justice of the piece. Please tell me your thoughts on my party and dinner ideas.I plan to invite our family which includes parents, brothers, their children, uncles, aunts and cousins to a dinner on the 6th because the 7th is booked everywhere!!but of course I still want to celebrate with my fam.The next day we'll get married in the morning and I was thinking of having a "party" at night for my friends, the homies you know the co-workers and neighbors.Does it seem a little rude or impolite to do it this way?For one I'm on a budget and two some of my family members are a bit reserved and somewaht judgemental and though I know the Party will be awesome I for sure don't want them to say "Oh my gawd, look at them, ugh!" Nice dinner for family, Party for friends what do you guys think?Rude?impolite?great idea?let me know thanx.I wouldn't want anyone to think that they're not important enough to entertain! It's more affordable for me to do it this way

My husband and I are about to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We have been together for a total of eight years, but married for one. I want to do something special and need ideas? I already have it planned to thaw out the top layer of our cake to share that night with maybe candles, something romantic, but I want to do something that we will always remember. Any ideas would be appreciated...thanks!

Me and my partner would like to get married. We don't have a lot of money and although we're sure that our parents will contribute, we really want to take the brunt of the finances ourselves. Has anyone got any examples of good weddings where there are lots of guests at the party (we're not bothered about having lots of guests at the civil ceremony) but it doesn't cost too much. We just want to get married and then have a really good celebration with friends and family without being in debt for years. Any ideas gratefully received.

I want to know how people face their spouse in the morning with all that bad breathe and stuff? Particularly on the first day after marriage.
I am about to get married and have bad breath problem. I am worried about how would I face my wife with this problem? Anybody else had similar issues? How did (would) you resolve them?

My gal and I are getting married in a few weeks and she wants to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees." My question is, does anyone know if there is a good karaoke version out there or should I try to dampen the vocals on an mp3 file? And depending on the options, where do I get the materials I need for this? Thanks!

my parents have been married 30 years but got married in a registry office. As a present for their wedding anniversary I was thinking of getting them to renew their vows /get blessed in church. We live in Hereford in the midlands. Does anyone have any idea how easily this is done and what costs are involved? Thanks !

My best friend is getting married, her Bridal Shower is this coming Saturday, but I’m confused on what to give her.

Therefore, I guess my question is:

Do people usually give separate gifts, one at the Bridal Shower and one off the gift registry at the wedding?

Or

Do you give an item off the gift registry at the Bridal Shower?

We're having a small wedding of about 30 guests and I'm wondering if I should put different wording down on the invitations, such as call it an intimate wedding instead of just wedding. Most of the guests are my aunts and uncles on my moms side, and my mom was thinking to put that in so they don't expect the normal traditional wedding with 100+ people, dancing, etc.

Is that a good idea or is it kind of tacky? Or any other suggestions?

I am getting married & have just announced a date. My partner & I only want our siblings to be in the bridal party, he has 2 brothers, I have two sisters.
I have a friend who I have known for 14 years & she was expecting to be a bridesmaid. The other night we were having drinks & she burst into tears & cried until I gave in & said yes.
This has caused a number of problems as we dont want three bridesmaids, it will cost us more money & my partner doesnt want to have to choose between his mates who else is in the bridal party, nor do I want to upset my other friends by not choosing them.
How do I tell my friend I cant do it for her for the reasons above after I caved in the other night...while I was drinking?
My partner & I dont want to upset her but we just dont want an extra person. This woman is a lovely person & a good friend so we just dont know how to tell her.
Please help!! Any suggestions would be so very much appreciated.

What is your feelings on the mother of the groom wearing black
The colors of the weeding are pale pink and cream.
Brides mother wearing a peach/cream dress.
It doesn't matter what the guests wear, but I think mothers of the bride and groom should dress accordingly. Any comments?
