My best friend is getting married, her Bridal Shower is this coming Saturday, but I’m confused on what to give her.

Therefore, I guess my question is:

Do people usually give separate gifts, one at the Bridal Shower and one off the gift registry at the wedding?

Or

Do you give an item off the gift registry at the Bridal Shower?

HI! In my experience, I've given a gift off the shower registry at the shower, and then a more "personal" gift at the wedding...For instance, the actual wedding gift I gave my brother was a gift basket I made up including a bottle of really good champagne, a snapshot of him and his wife (that they forgot i had) which I had elarged and professionally framed, and since they were going to Vegas (their first time) on their honeymoon, i found a "vegas for dummies" book. Everything was appreciated, and was used; the champagne they drank soon after the wedding, the book they brought to vegas, and the picture has been hanging on their wall since they've received it. Hopefully, these are some ideas you can use. ( I made a similar basket for my best freind's wedding.)

Generally, people usually give a gift off the registry at the shower, then a check (cash) at the wedding.

Where I am from(northEast) we give a registry gift for the the shower and money for the wedding. But in other regions it can and does differ greatly. I would suggest if you arent sure to go off her registry for both this way you are guaranteed to get her something that she wants, since she has picked it out herself.

Good luck.

Which shower is Saturday? The personal shower is generally lingerie and frilly things. Wedding gifts and regular shower gifts come off the registry, but if she is your BF, you know her likes and dislikes enough to ger her something truly unique and personal. My BF, who was my maid of honor, gave me an antique, leather bound copy of Shakespeare's sonnets. I actually cried when she gave it to me. Why, you say? It's just a book. But she knows how much I love Shakespeare and that I collect antique books. Point is, she gave me something so personal, and that shows how well she knows me. Dig deep and think of something that she's always wanted.

Give her 2 gift that you think that she'll love. Like something that symbolizes your friendship with her.
