It can save money, but sometimes the caterer (or reception site) will not allow you to bring your own alcohol. Check with these places first on their policies. Then look up some guidelines online (I think The Knot has something) about how much of each alcohol you'll need to avoid running out in the middle of the reception. Also consider the fact that you will take anything left over with you, so be sure to make arrangements for someone to take it after the reception if you're not going home or you're going on your honeymoon right away.

Something I am considering doing to cut down on the bar bill is having "Signature Cocktails." This would just mean that my fiance and I each pick our favorite drink, and then one that we both like. I am also considering working with a friend who is a bartender to create a drink for the reception, maybe something that goes with our colors. You can also serve the usual beer and wine, but choosing a few select cocktails will cut down on the cost of your hard liquor significantly, and this is usually the biggest expense for your reception. Good luck!

We used to own a liquor staore and we used to specialize in consignment wedding deals. We would provide more then enough liquor for the party and take back any unopened bottles after at a later date for a full credit. You may wish to inquire about that as well.

i'm no help. i don't think of you get it through a organization yet i imagine you are able to flow for your interior sight liquor save and tell them you're procuring alcohol for a celebration so as that they are going to grant you with a case of what you want, quite of you carrying a million seperate bottles out. once you've an section like Costco, Sams club, BJ's the position you purchase bulk issues they could have bulk alcohol to boot and procuring in bulk is often more good value. I type of expertise like searching a venue that substances alcohol is more good value reason you pay a flat price and also you get all you are able to drink. And there are diverse degrees of open bars, some is largely beer and wine even as others have larger shelf liqour. The beer and wine decision is often more good value and individuals are chuffed to get any alcohol. you could also get a funds bar the position you pay no longer something and your travellers pay for his or her beverages. only ensure you position that on your wedding ceremony invite so as that they understand to carry funds. yet another issue that i don't like about that venue is it truly is needed to purchase again the unopened bottles. You already paid for them, why could you purchase them again?? it truly is a finished rip off. in case you nonetheless flow with this supplier and also you carry your human being liquor i could purchase below what i in my opinion needed so there could be no longer something left over to purchase again. I dunno once you're growing to be married yet once you've time, save searching, this venue looks attempting to tear you off. i could say do not even visit it so that you do not fall in love with the gap.

We did, and wound up with WAY TOO MUCH alcohol. You can't return that stuff, either. SO you have to pay a fee to serve it, pay for the liquor, the buy more than you need. Didn't work out for us.

It depends on the venue that you are having your wedding at. If they allow it you can save lots of money on your alchohol costs, however for legal reasons most laces dont let you do that. Ask your venue if you can and good luck
