I think you should wear what you feel most comfortable in. If you are getting married in front of the justice of the peace, a white suit would be beautiful. Try this:

No don't do black and white. Choose a lovely cream color silk suit or dress or a bone color. My second choice is a pinky mauve. Oh, a suit would be just perfect possibly with a little detail on the jacket. Then I would wear a little floral headpiece with a very small veil. Shoes dyed to match and you will look lovely. No...stay away from black and white or black, they are so depressing. Your husband to be should be in a charcoal black or midnight blue dress suit with a nice dress shirt and a conservative tie. Your bouquet should be small, maybe a white orchid surrounded by some lovely white roses with cascading green ivy. Good Luck on your marriage.

Black AND white is fine for a bride to wear at her wedding. If it was her 3rd or 4th wedding! If getting married by the justice of the peace, then try a very simple white dress that's not to flashy and not to crazy. If it's not your first marriage, I suggest a cream colored dress. For him a simple black suit and tie should be fine. Of course.............nothing beats a white bikni and white fishnet wrap for her and white linen pants with no shirt for him while on a beach in the Bahamas!

I say no black for the bride. A dark blue that is almost black yes. Black no. It is bad luck even in front of a justice of the peace.

It is your wedding, and you can wear whatever color you want! The white wedding dress tradition was only started later, and was used as a sign of wealth. This was because they were so rich, they could afford to buy a dress and only wear it once. The point is, it is your special day, wear whatever color and style dress you desire!

You can wear what ever you want. A nice suit would be very appropriate for a jp wedding.

My wedding colors were black and white. My dress was white, and my husband wore a black tux, with a white shirt and vest.
