me and my boyfriend have been dating for 4 years and lived together for the past 2 years. i want to marry him and we've talked about an engagement for the past year but nothing has happened. the last time i brought it up, he denied the conversation ever happened. im beginning to feel like hes stringing me along till i forget the engagement all together. i love him very much but i dont think he wants to marry anone at all. should i drop the subject of marrage for another time? or should i let him go?

My sister is getting married this Spring in an outdoor, garden wedding. Being a very traditional family, we wanted the guests to throw rice as the newly wedded couple exit the garden. We were told that we could not throw rice but had to use rose petals or bird seed.

What in the world is wrong with throwing rice? It has been done for hundreds of years.

I want to do chocolate truffles in a box. Like, 2 chocolate truffles in a small box. The Godiva set goes for $3.25 a pop so thats too expensive. Where else can I get 2 chocolate truffles in a box for wedding favors? I will use ribbon to make the boxes look pretty.

My boyfriend and are seriously discussing marriage, though we haven't told our parents yet. If we do get married, I don't know how to balance everybody's desires when it comes to the wedding.

I've always dreamed about eloping to Vegas. I like the idea of it being just the two of us. He wants a "real" wedding, with friends and family present, a reception, etc. So does my mother. My father wants to walk me down the aisle, but he won't go to a reception that my mother is at (my mother went through a period where she was a very violent and dangerous alcoholic, and he shakes and freaks out when he sees her now). So my father wants us to have a small initial ceremony he can be at, and then have a big grand one for my mother's family.

So how do we do this? 3 weddings seems excessive. The Vegas thing means a lot to me, and it's the only one I really like, so I don't want to give that up. Any advice?

Here is my problem. My fiance' and I have been engaged for two months. Approx. two weeks after my sister and her now hubby got engaged, my dad offered her three choices for help, of which she was to choose what he was paying for. He paid for their entire wedding. He hasn't offered to help us pay for, or, pay at all for any of our expenses. Any suggestions? Of course, we expect to pay for most of it, but are just hurt and confused as to why he hasn't offered to help us yet... Thanks in advance!!
