How far in advance do we need to book our honeymoon? We have a lot of payments that we need to make to different vendors for the wedding and am not sure how soon we really need to put the money up for honeymoon

It depends on what you're doing and where you're going. We flew to Hawaii and took a Hawaiian cruise. The ship went to four different islands, it was beautiful. We booked 8 months ahead of time. The down payments wasn't real big, and we paid the final payment 3 months prior to the departure. Call a travel agent and have them give you ideas on time schedules for whatever it is you're doing. where do u plan to go? is it busy season ? like are you planning to go to disney for the middle of the summer or december you might want to book early are you planning to go to some wilderness camp in autum an there busy time is spring you might get away with 2 months ahead of time but you dont want to hold off to long an remember you might want to go a week after the wedding alot of people might come out of town to see you folks an spend time an unwind from a long prep time an experience then have your honeymoon

Ideally 4-6 months in advance, but technically you could wait until a month or so before, then go on expedia, orbitz or cheap tickets or one of those sites to see what fits your budget at that time. I recently vacationed in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, stayed at a great all-inclusive resort and paid under 3K for me & my husband including airfare from JFK to Mexico City to PV. I booked through Expedia
